SW has beverage service, right?

Perhaps they could CHECK thier luggage like the rest of us. If the airline employees had to deal with the mess that is MOST baggage claims maybe they could complain to their managment.

Sorry, I don't think that just because you are a FA or a Pilot you should get to carry this mess on. I dont' think you are a security threat, I KNOW I am not and I PAY your salary. Playing by the rules will NOT kill them in spite of thier whining about it! Pilots and FAs are NOT better then their passengers and don't deserve "Special' treatment on this issue. This is just another example of the TSA and thier inconsistent and not well thought out policies.

(And don't tell me it's because they are screened.. I have a TSA clearance for my Clear Card so can I bring on MY stuff???)

You're so RIGHT! They also get the best seats, dangit! ;)

Thanks for the level-headed advice and comments, commiseration of other nursing moms and even the hair gel giggle. I think all the fast breaking news of this morning plus being a total SW newbie made me panic a bit. I called SW myself and was told that sealed or unopened bottled water is not going to be allowed through security at least through August 14 even if you have infants and small children but, as the TSA states, milk and juice are fine; the customer service agent told me they were anticipating, if nothing happens, that rules might loosen a bit around that date. She said she didn't know why that particular date they were given but SW is only offering refunds because of circumstances through that date (I hope that the refund part is correct, she was talking a mile a minute!). That was just one person's perspective, of course. Oh, and she said they "hoped" to stock enough bottled/canned water on the planes.

FYI Bird-Mom, my newest little guy was born at home too. Nice to see a homebirthing, *water-preferring* (to be politically correct ;)) momma here!

I was told this morning by American to make sure we have two bottles made to get us to FL from Seattle. She could not guarantee enough water on the flight, due to regulations, and to be safe than sorry I should have the bottles made. My son is on formula. The kids will just have to take what is offered. We try to limit sugar but in times like these they will have to take whats given or nothing at all.
