SW Ding question???

I just purchased tickets for 4 people from BUF to MCO return. If I get a ding, am I able to get the credit for all of the tickets or just mine? Does everyone need to register to get their own credit?
We are hoping for dings to return to WDW and just want to be prepared.

Since you booked the tickets you can get the credit for all 4 tickets. The credit stays with the reservation number that was originally booked and you have a year to use it from the time the original reservation was booked -- not from the trip that was taken.

And because sometimes you get DING's for only one leg of your trip, we've started now always booking our return fares as 2 separate ressies. That way we're only cancelling and replacing the leg of the trip that is eligible for the DING. If they're both eligible, well then it's twice the work, but that's OK.

So let me get it straight. If I book trips for all of us to go in Sept. I should book the trip as 2 trips (trip there and then a one way back) and if I get a Ding (does that mean it flashes or something) I can then get a reduced price on the tickets I have already purchased? Does that include the internet special tickets that are on right now?

Yes. If you get a Ding you can get a credit back for any type of airfare that you've purchased.

It's also a good idea to book the two flights separately as Mary Liz pointed out. It's a little more work if you get Dings for both ways but much easier if you only get a Ding for one way.

You do have to download the Ding program onto your computer to get them though.
