SW Credit Voucher Extension

I called a few weeks ago to get an extension on a credit that I had because I forgot you have to travel by the date not make the ressie....silly me.

Any how I called the number and they told me they could send me a one time only extension voucher...great.

I got it today and it was $25 less then the actual credit. They never mentioned that I was going to lose credit on the deal....I'm really PO'd. They should tell you your going to lose a portion; I might have done something else if I was going to lose 25% of the credit. (IT was only 90).

As far as I know you should have received 100% credit for the extension.

You should have received 100% unless that $25 is taxes that they refunded on your cc (that's what they did with me). Definitely make a phone call, if they're charging a fee it's very new because I just requested a voucher in mid-January and the amount was exactly as I expected.

I've always received 100% back on a credit voucher. If you asked to originally have the credit put back on your credit card maybe they refunded the taxes. They have done that in the past and isued a credit voucher for the remainder.

No Credit...I have to wait until Monday at 8am....they aren't there on the weekends.

SW Credit is transferable so to speak. You can make the ressie in the name of anybody not just the person on the original ticket

So i could let my parents use when they book, or it would have to bemy last name

I had a $350 credit and I booked flights for my parents from PHL to Fort Lauderdale. I was able to put in their names (my last name is different) and apply the credit to the ressie. My mom only had to pay $20 more for the flights. It worked out great.

Don't panic... My credit (for 1 ressie #) came as 2 vouchers. They were really odd amounts too but they added up to the amount I was expecting. I don't know why it was that way. They both arrived on the same day but other vouchers I sent for last year came almost a week apart. I was getting nevous and was planning to call when the 2nd one came. They usually don't automatically refund to a cc unless you specifically ask and that would only be a portion that's refundable. good luck!

Just checking I have a SW credit with a July 13th expiration. This means I have to complete my travel by this date? I was planning on using the credit for our annual November vacation. Will they give me an extension so I will be able to book my flights for November? I have over a 300.00 credit. Thanks for the help.

You can call to get a 6 mo. extension. It comes in the mail and can be used to buy flights online. Sorry I'm at work and I have the phone # at home. You can't just call the reg. toll-free #.
I will post it when I get home tonight.

I just called for SWA extension # 214 -792-4223. She said the vouchers will be mailed in 2-3 weeks and they are transferrable. HTH
