Are there any promotional SW codes that I can use to book my flight from Reno, NV to Orlando Dec. 19th , 2007?:wave2:

It's not been my experience that Southwest has codes of any kind. Discounts (or lesser rates) are gotten by way of fare reductions and "Dings" - both which require ongoing monitoring of Southwest fares for your intended dates of travel. :3dglasses

If a Ding comes out when I am not logged on, does it stay there until I do log on? I am not able to continuous mointor Dings all day.

The Southwest icon stays on your toolbar and when a ding comes up a square appears atop the icon. In my neck of the woods, most of the ding offers last several hours and while I may not catch them immediately, the announcement is there when I get home from work. That's not to say the offer is still available when I get home from work because the life of a ding is dependant of the number of seats sold at that rate.

We received a mailing from Southwest a few months ago with codes to reduce price by maybe 10 or 20 %. That was the only time we received the. Used them on a trip to PHX....no DING!s came through so took what I could get.

Related to the DING!...if there is a DING! out there, it takes a while for your computer to poll for it. For example, when I came home today and turned on my computer, it took about 10 minutes to DING!. I tell people to just turn on their computers and go do something for 15 to 20 minutes. That's usually enough time to get DINGED if there is one available. YMMV.

My computer dings while it is booting up. Not always though. Only when a ding is available. If I don't click on it, it will go away when the ding expiration time has passed.
