SW checkin- Free drink coupon-

DH travel in Jan and was told that was the last day drink coupons could be used. Someguy on the plane was buying everybody drinks, to use his up.

Today a friend checked in and emailed me her seat numbers and that she got a free drink coupon????

I have so many ?'s

Are the old coupon's still good, can you now be awarded coupons at check in?
HELP????

I have never gotten one at check in. Did your friend book Business Select? You do get one then and I think their A List members do also.

There was a stink a while back where they quit accepting expired coupons.. not sure what the current status is.

I have some coupons but they have no date. Are they still accepting those. My DH has neve been one for detials.. he told me they were no longer accepting drink coupons - period.

Flew Monday and they were accepting the old drink coupons with no dates. Flight Attendant told me that will stop in October. He said that then only the new coupons with the dates will be accepted. I notice they have our name on them also. I doubt that FA will ask for ID to see if right person is using them.
Also - since it was Valentines Day last Monday there was a note on the plastic card in seat pocket that listed your beverage choices that SW luvs you and a free drink for all on Valentines Day. They did not annouce it and do not think many people took them up on it.
FYI - if you are traveling St. Patricks Day - March 17 - free drinks that day too!! Thanks SW!

Also flew Monday (14th) and used a drink coupon without any dates on it.
