I am trying to change my airfare on SW's website since my flight from Orlando dropped in price. I keep getting this message when I try to change:

This form has the following errors
  • Your reservation contains modifications that prevent you from changing it online. Please contact a Southwest Airlines Customer Representative for assistance at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792). (SW302123-zeJMckrfRDSgHHf98IOKqg)
I haven't made any changes or anything to it since my initial booking and I booked it regularly online when flights were released in Feb. It has been doing this since this past weekend..my flights dropped both ways and when I tried to change them, it said the same message. I called but by the time I reached an agent (around 20 minutes wait time)..the fares were gone and went back up. Now they dropped again and I, again, have to wait.
Anyone ever have this problem before?

The only time I get that message is if someone from Southwest has made a change to my reservation. For example, I had booked a round trip. Southwest cancelled my return flight and automatically rebooked me on another flight. From that point on I could not reprice either the outbound or return flight on that reservation, I got that same error message. I had to call Southwest and have them reprice the flight for me.

Oh, that could explain it. They changed my outbound flight from MCO a couple of weeks ago. How annoying though!

GOOD LUCK! I love checking the flights daily to see if there is a price drop or if booked on points a point drop! We usually book about 6-7 months in advance, so invariably there is a decrease, which is nice.:goodvibes In my opinion, SW is so liberal to not charge any change fee if there is a decrease on points or if you decide not to take the trip for some reason. Other airlines charge a change fee, even if booked on points.:scared1:

Not necessarily. It depends on the airline and your status. I'm a 1K on United and if I change an award ticket, I don't have to pay any fees and get all my miles back. I can also make same day flight changes for no change fee.
