SW Ap for Dc discount-how to do that?

So we have a trip planned for the last week of May and our whole reason for traveling across the country is to swim with a dolphin! very excited for that!

We are debating on doing the DC with SW and Aquatica pkg or just DC with Disney parks. I've read that one can buy a SW AP in order to buy discounted DC passes (without the SW and Aquatica parks). That might give us some extra dollars to spend at Disney if we do it that way. We've been to Sea World San Diego many times so we aren't too concerned about missing out on SW.

How do I go about doing that? I think the May DC passes were $279 when I last looked. How much is the SW AP and how much would the DC discounted passes be? Trying to figure out my savings here.

Thanks for any help on how to do this.:)

A SW annual pass is showing online as $149. An Aquatica annual pass (which will get you the same discount on your DC admission) is $99, so that would be the better option if you are not planning on using the annual pass for anything other than a discount on Discovery Cove.

Regular price for May for DC (with the dolphin swim) is $259, which includes 14 days admission to SW and Aquatica. DC only (with dolphin swim) with the passholder discount is $209. So you would need at least 3 people in your family purchasing admission to DC in order to make an annual pass worthwhile.

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to post 'em.

Thanks! Thats exactly what I needed to know. We have four of us so it looks like we would save $50 per person x 4= $200 but then it would cost us $99 for the Aquatica Ap leaving us with a $100 savings. Not enough to go through all that. We'll just stick with the regular dc swim package.

I have to say I was very disappointed in the AP discounts this go! How about you Gina. I ended up just buying them through the holiday special that they emailed me. It was a far better option for us!

Agreed. ::yes::

Discounts for 2013 are definitely disappointing in comparison to those we saw this year. My August visit (no dolphin swim) was just $69 pp with our AP discount. We paid $189 pp for our January 2012 visit, and that included unlimited admission to SeaWorld.

I know, we have had an AP for the last 3 years and enjoyed DC all 3 years. This year we are going but..........was disappointed we have an AP and it is useless for the discount if you are going to SW at all! Guess all good things must come to an end. Unless a reason comes up between now and when I return in March, I will be cancelling my AP once I return.
