SW Advice Please

I'm looking to book a flight from BDL to TPA for my son's return to school in July. SW flight just went down from $168 to $99. The bargain hunter in me is thinking I should wait for a DING since his flight home was only $59. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I would book it now, and if a DING! comes out, rebook and use the leftover travel funds for his trip back for the holidays.

Hi,

I booked for our trip in early July a couple of weeks ago -- it was one of the first July Dings! to show up. It's costing us $540 for 4 people from BDL to TPA. The Dings have been mainly for June so I think it would be worth it to wait -- regular July Dings are just around the corner. My brother called me yesterday to tell me that he saw $44 o/w Dings for June! I will be watching to see if the prices go lower for July but am happy with what I have now!

and get a credit when the fare goes down. I did this twice with our flights last year and, when we returned, SWA put the credit back on my CC. Conventional wisdom on this forum seems to indicate that, if you do not change your flight, just the price, SWA will return your credit instead of giving you a voucher against future travel.
