I just got a mid-size SUV ( Ford Escape) at Budget for a week for $159/US = $205 US with taxes....

I just booked the same thing. I had another Budget special for a Mini Van for $199/wk., but there are only 5 of us and we would prefer this anyway. I think this is a great deal.

The ford Escape is pretty small. Will 5 people and luggage fit??? I only mention it because my personal car is a Pathfinder, a lot bigger and I would be hard pressed to fit 5, with luggage, unless 3 of them were small children.

IMHO, it would be tight. We had us 3 and my dad in an Escape last year. The back seat was crowded with a 72 yo and an 8 yo. We had 2 suitcases, 2 backpacks, and some bags in the rear storage area, and it was about full. Now, we did not pack it efficiently, but it was definitely not large like an Explorer or a Blazer.
