Big nay for me! I don't really care for fish and I have tried sushi enough times to know that I don't want to eat it again. :crazy2:

Genki has the neato conveyer belts, and so do a few other places LOL.

I'm weak and usually pick my up from the vender on base, LOL. I do watch him make it though so it is fresh. But it's not as good as some of the other places.

I'd recommend starting off with the tame side (shrimp, california, etc.) and working your way up. I find that it really is a texture thing, either you get it or you don't. I loovvvvveeee it ::yes::

The biggest of big nays for me! I'd rather have a good old burger.

YAY!!! When you have really good sushi, its an experience. Plus there's health benefits of eathing sushi. I think it's one of the reasons why the Japanese people have the longest average life expectancy in the world

:thumbsup2 Love, love, LOVE sushi!!!!

There is this Japanese place, I think it's called Minados and it is actually a buffet. For like $28 it's all you can eat sushi and Japanese food! It's soooo good!

I have Minados just 5 miles from my house. Was there about 2 weeks ago. :thumbsup2

I voted Nay. I have tried once or twice but it really doesn't appeal to me at all. I feel like I am missing out though. Others seem to love it so much I feel like I should keep trying or try something different.

I didn't like it the first few times I tried it, but since we were moving to Japan, I kept trying it and now, I absolutely love it.

I do think it matters what you try first. I would try a roll, without raw fish. I think sushi has so many new flavors : nori (seaweed), rice vinegar, wasabi, then raw fish just sets some people over the top. Try only cooked varieties for a bit, then, once you are used to all the flavors, then try maguro or sake (tuna or salmon).

One thing I LOVE to do is add a couple drops of dark sesame oil to my soy sauce. Oooh, it is sooo yummy!

Ummm....yay! I eat sushi of some sort almost every day...(it cancels out the chocolate shakes and cheeseburgers...)

Having taken a course in parasitology, sushi will never pass my lips.
