I'm kinda adicted to it. I limit it but really do love it. I would like to go outside my comfort zone of spicy tuna - eel - california roll - all the cooked rolls that I dont really like. Like the tempura rolls.

Suggestions please? :)

I am of no help, only sushi I like is kid's sushi. Made with rice krispie treats, fruit roll ups and a Swedish fish lol!

I would try a California Roll first and then maybe move onto a shrimp roll or a spicy tuna roll. I'm not a spicy person so I've never had one of those.

Do you have any places around you that have sushi buffets that you can try a piece of this and a piece of that? I know there is a buffet call Minado that has a great selection and is a buffet. I tried octapus there and loved it! :)

Good luck! I'm sure you'll love it! :)

I started with just the rolls but eventually moved on to the Sashimi which can be very good as well (Just a piece of sushi fish on rice)...if you find a good sushi place that has a sampler set, that's the best thing to try.

I LOOOOVE Tuna, it's the best.

Luckily there is a very good sushi place near here in Tampa called Origami Sushi...their menu has a picture of every single dish on the (large!) menu. It really makes it easier to decide what you want to try

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Spicy Tuna is my favorite. I had sushi for breakfast this morning!:cool1:

My 15 yr DD asked me this last night: When I first had sushi, did I know what it was? :)

My kids love it, DH and I like it.

I'm of no help. the only "sushi" I like is a cucumber roll. not very adventurous!

I'm no help, but spicy tuna is my favorite!!!

Love it and now have my son addicted to it. I prefer it with brown rice and nothing spicy. Love anything with shrimp in it!:thumbsup2

Love it! All of it except for eel. Just don't like the looks of eel.
But my favorite is spicy crunchy tuna / salmon. And anything with avocado.

The EEL is the *best* roll!!

Most people get a little bothered by the look and texture of it, but it is fabulous. The eel itself has no flavor, the real treat is the sauce they put onto it. Even if you don't try the Eel maybe work your way up by asking for some eel sauce on the side. It is a slightly sweet sauce, I think plum flavored and is just delicious.

My favorite is anything with salmon or eel!

My best advice: Go out to eat Sushi with friends and have each person order a roll or two that sounds good to them. That way everyone shares the whole thing and you get to try some new Sushi.

The only ones I have tried and not liked are Conch and Crab.

I am a certified Sushi addict. Honestly if I wasn't afraid of gout, I'd probably eat it every day. :thumbsup2

Sushi - yum!

Unagi (eel) is my favorite.

I like just about everything though.

You can try:

Salmon
Scallop
Spider roll (soft shell crab)
Salmon skin

Just go to a good sushi restaurant. Expensive but worth it!

Actually Sashimi is just the fish with no rice. Individual pieces of sushi have rice, rolls can have rice. Sashimi= no rice.

Op, if you want to try some individual pieces of sushi along with your rolls, try salmon, whitefish and tuna first. Those are the pieces that were recommended to me by my resident Sushi expert many years ago. They are still my favorites. Samlon is so soft and buttery it will melt in your mouth.

My husband loves the squid... now that's gross!!

yum! love sushi

I love spicy tuna with crunch, I also love Philly rolls.
Hand rolls are delicious too

I love the Unagi, especially the sauce. But, my favorite is the maguro (tuna). Just thinking about it makes me drool. I could eat sushi every day. Heck, I could just eat the gari (ginger) on the side and be happy as can be!

I thought Nigiri was the one without rice

You could try a rainbow roll. Pretty safe, but you can try some different fish that way :)

love the rainbow roll. I like to go and try all of the cheap rolls!! My DS11 and I are addicted!!!:lmao:
