I did a search about finding sushi in WDW and I just want to sum up what I found. Places to find sushi are: CG @ Contemporary, Kimono's @ Swan, Wolfgand Puck @ DTD, Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining @ Japan in Epcot.

My DH remembers a place upstairs in Japan, started with an 'M' - I don't think it's there anymore, is that where Tokyo Dining is now? Is Tokyo Dining a sit-down sushi bar or a full service TS restaurant with ADR's and all?

Might have to break DH's heart about the sushi place not being there anymore.

I believe Teppan Edo used to be called Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Room. I could be wrong, but that's what I recall.

I would go for California Grill!!:worship:

I believe they have also opened a sushi bar in the Poly outside of Kona. I don't eat sushi but my son is looking forward to giving it a try. I think it has gotten good reviews.

You're probably thinking of the Matsu No Ma lounge. That area (and what used to be the Tempura Kiko place) were demolished and transformed into the Tokyo Dining restaurant. What used to be the Teppanyaki restaurant became Teppan Edo. Same communal seating around the cooktop.

Since Tokyo Dining is a restaurant now, you have to be seated. When it was the lounge, it was easier to go and get a seat more casually.

And I did hear a lot of good things about the Kona Cafe sushi bar area (which opens at 5pm or so). And there's a sushi bar I like at the Wolfgang Puck Cafe on the DTD West Side.

Yes, Matsu No Ma lounge was it! Ok that's gone now and the replacement is a real TS place. Hmm... we'll have to check out the place at the Poly. We have ADR's at O'Hana's our first night so we'll scope it out. Kimono's has take-out sushi so that's an option. And we'll be at SSR so he can go across the water to Wolfgang Puck's.

Not sure he's just in a sushi mood or he was really looking forward to Matsu No Ma lounge sushi. We'll find out soon enough!
