now i am hungry for sushi! :woohoo:

I won't let my DD9 see this post... she loves sushi (well CA rolls) and I love it too! We just tried a little sushi restaurant nearby and she loves watching them make it, so now instead of being satisfied with the CA rolls from Super Target.... she wants it from Oragami! We were there Fri for dinner, I had a great Jade Dragon roll - we may hit there for a quick lunch today before we head to MCO to pick up my mother and great nephew who are coming for a three week visit!

Man, now I'm hungry for some. :rotfl: I LOVE the crunchy rolls at my local sushi shop. I always feel energized after eating sushi. Maybe because it's extremly fresh fish and vegies and no processed crap? :confused3

I love sushi. We have a place near us (Rusan's) that has tons of $1 maki rolls (three pieces.) That way I can order a lot and try different things.

I do prefer the rolls over the nigiri, though, and I generally dislike supermarket sushi.

I took a parasitology course in college that put me off eating raw fish for life.

I don't eat a lot of fish, and there are a lot of sushis I won't touch. but I do like California rolls and shrimp sushi.

For years, I turned up my nose at even the thought of eating Sushi. Until I tried it at a local food & wine festival. Yummy! I was hooked!

I'm still a novice so I'm somewhat intimidated about ordering it in sit-down restaurants. I've never been to a Sushi bar, although I want to some day. There were a couple in Vegas that looked really interesting. My fear is that I won't know what I'm ordering and will end up with something I'd rather not eat!

We have a great take-out place, though--right down the road. Hmm...maybe I'll go there for lunch today.

Bait! :)

I don't even like most fish cooked much less raw. Blech! :faint:

I love it! My savvy San Fran niece introduced to me when I was :scared: about it and lo and behold I loved it!!

My son tried some at an all you can eat buffet and now is a BIG fan also. I love the non fish ones mostly.

Man, I've got to go get some for lunch!!

All I can say is "ditto". :rotfl:

I don't eat seafood of any kind anyway, so that just means more for all of you!

Definitely dinner! Yum! My favorites are all the different tunas, salmon, and eel. I don't like the octopus dishes. I actually prefer sashimi to sushi because sometimes I have a hard time fitting the entire piece into my mouth, and if I try and bite it in half, rice goes everywhere.

Bleh. I'm a pretty adventurous eater ( stinky cheese  ) but I've never understood the appeal of sushi. I find it has a boring "mouth feel". As for raw fish, the texture is just icky to me. :confused3

(I keep hearing Gollum's voice... "give it to us rrrraw and wrrrrrrriggling!")

Hmmm, authentic sushi don't all include raw fish. Plus, there have been a lot of Americanized styles so I wouldn't call them all bait. :)

I eat raw fish anyway (like sashimi and seasoned Hawaiian raw fish) .. yum!

I love love sushi! One of my favorite foods. Yum!!!

All you can eat sushi buffet at lunch in mid-town. Gotta love Ru-Sans.

Seriously? If I could afford to eat sushi every week I would. I love it! It's making me hungry just thinking about it :teeth: We have a great place here called Sushi Zushi and they have a really extensive menu to choose from. (plus regular japanese food for non-sushi lovers) I love anything with eel, tuna, or softshell crab. There's one I really like called a spider roll and the main ingredient is soft shell crab but then they top it with a little chipotle mayo...mmm. So good :thumbsup2 Hah, look at me going on and on about sushi. I'm done now  :rotfl:
