Sushi at California Grill...appetizer or entree

For those who have been recently on the DDP, is the sushi considered an appetizer or an entree? Do they have two portion sizes of sushi, one that would be considered and appetizer and one an entree.

Hi,
We were there in March and had the Sushi as an appetizer. The portion size was large. We had 9 pieces each I believe. Our son got the flat bread which was also large as an appetizer.

The spciy sushi was so good I was tempted to get it for my dinner too....LOL! Oh and I don't think they have two portion sizes.

Not sure about the portion sizes, but the sushi I had at CG was really good stuff.

That kind of depends upon your appetite. DH & I shared a tuna sampler as an appetizer but if you are not a chow hound (unlike me!), it could suffice as a light entree.

When I went last time my DBF each got a plate of sushi...I am not going to lie, it is a quite a large portion...however with that said your entree does not come with any soup/salad...maybe just a very small side of something. I think the entree sizes were not super small but they were not big either. After the sushi, entree and dessert I was full. I got the salmon last time which was a very light dish so I am not sure if that and my dessert would have filled me? It may have but that was some really great sushi...I am definitely getting the california roll again! I think if you had a salad or soup or another appetizer with the sushi it would be good enough for an entree. They do not have too portion sizes really they have just one size but they do have a sushi plate for two. I know you cannot order it for an appetizer but they may let you for an entree.
