Survivor Thailand! (Possible Spoilers)

Good point SSB!! I liked how he got really frustrated after Ted started messing with him. I said from the very beginning of the challenge that they should have Ted guarding him. At least they finally listened to me! ;) :p

I was worried they were going to vote Jake off last night. He seems quiet and I wasn't sure if he was "bonding" with the whole tribe. I do think Robb was right in thinking that his being voted off was part because he will be a strong competitor ( at least in the strength competitions, not real sure about the mental ones  ) when the tribes merge.

I think what they've been doing recently is focusing on those people that were going to be voted off soon. We'll see more of the others as time progresses. But the fact that we're seeing so little of Penny or Erin makes me feel they'll go fairly far, and ditto whatsisname-blond on ChewingGum -- Brian?

I like Jake. I have a feeling that he is the unassuming "leader"
of the group that is left on his tribe. I don't know why, but I feel that he has been quietly leading them all along...to me that is why those 5 have always (i think) voted "as a block". I think that
Shii Ann would have gotten a vote from 1 of them (over the course of the last few weeks) if not for Jake's leadership in the tribe.
I almost cannot believe how low Erin is "flying under the radar",
but so far it is working for her!

I like Jake and his quiet leadership. I believe there is definitely more to the Sook Jai tribe than they are showing as far as planning strategies. The editing is not showing anyone but ex-Robb talking about who they are voting off. I do believe there is a untold (to us) alliance with Jake, Ken, Penny and Shii (my favorites on Sook Jai.

Jan, Jan, Jan...I question her emotional stablity. My favorites on Chuay Gahn are Brian, Helen, Ted. To me it it seems Brian is the glue that holds the tribe together...another quiet leader.

Hi kbeverina,

Let's see if my memory serves me about the first half of the show.

Robb came to Ken and started an argument about honesty. Robb was miffed because he didn't think Ken kept his word about what his vote would be (Steph or Shi-Ann). Ken said he told him he was voting for Steph and he did. Then Robb said something derrogatory about how Ken is playing the game. Ken got angry and said he was the only one that has been honest with him. Ken also told Robb he has been trying to help him, but Robb had bit the hand that helped him. (Or something like that.)

Shortly after that, Robb started eating the bananas. There was a tribal agreement to wait until the bananas were riper to eat them (and I think they were rationing them too). When Ken saw Robb eating the bananas he went to the other tribal members and asked them what is the deal with the bananas. And told them about what Robb was doing. Robb was saying if I'm hungry, I'm going to eat them. Ken and Robb argued about it. Shi-Ann jumped in and argued some too. After awhile the cameras just went to another clip.

They had a sling shot type challenge. The tribes paired up, one member from each tribe. They had baskets with a long handle to catch a ball that was shot from a huge sling shot. The object was to catch their ball and keep the other tribe from catching theirs. Robb was pretty good at it, until Ted changed positions to be with him. The score was 4-1 before Ted changed. Then Ted's tribe caught up and it was 4 to 4 (I think). I was really hoping Ted's tribe would win. But Robb's tribe won.

I think it was Erin that said during the feast that the argument that morning over the bananas was pretty silly now that they were feasting. That's what she was talking about.

There were other happenings too. Seemed like those I mentioned got a lot of air time. Someone can update the above if I was remiss. :D

Whew! Long post.

I too was glad to see Robb go!

I had an idea he bought his ticket when he monopolized the conversation over wine. I liked the proverb Shi-Ann stated when she voted. ;) That was cool.

Thanks so much, annemarie--I figured it must have been something to make everyone else mad, not just Ken, for them to vote him off. I was surprised that Shi-Ann knew that Robb was going--it seemed like she was pretty much out of the loop on stuff like that. There must be a lot more going on with that tribe than they're showing regarding alliances.

Wow! I liked that proverb, too!! Does anyone remember the wording of it? I thought it hit the nail on the head about Double B Robb!!

You're welcome, kbeverina. :D I did leave out the talk that Ken and Robb had after the challenge. Or maybe it was before. They both went on a walk and talked things out. It appeared as though fences were mended. Robb said it was like talking with an older brother. I was wondering if Robb would get voted off after that. But he kinda sealed his fate IMO when they were drinking wine.

I agree kbeverina, there seems to be a lot more going on than what they are showing.

Robinrs, I thought Shi-Ann hit the nail on the head with the proverb too. I think it started off like this: "A wise man knows a lot but says little. A foolish man ... ( something to the effect of knows little and talks too much).

If anyone knows what the proverb was, I'd like to know too!

Thanks,
Annemarie

Wasn't it.."The wise man knows much and says little, the foolish man knows little but says too much." Very Robb!!!! I think they haven't really liked Robb since the beginning but wanted to get rid of the deadweight (Jed & Stephanie) first. Plus wasn't Robb buddies with the other 2 voted out? I see an alliance there. Also it was smart to get rid of him prior to a merge, he is too strong physically in the challenges.

Anyone else think that tribe, SookJai, is dumb for eating ANOTHER chicken NOT on challenge day????

I agree very smart move and I didn't think about that all. Is it merge time already? It seems they just got started.

Does anyone know when the fianlly is. I think it will be on 12/12 and if it is we will be in WDW and I will need to change some dinning reservations around so I can be in my room by 8. Thanks
Rebecca

Pembo, do they know for sure when challenges are? They definitely wouldn't want to eat the chickens right before they had to do a challenge. If you've been starving yourself and suddenly you have good food, for a while your body shuts down to concentrate on digesting. That would be a very bad time to have to do a challenge. Ideally, they'd eat the chicken at a time where they'd still have the benefits from eating it, but none of the lethargy from digesting it.

I just want to spend about 2 weeks on an Island, just enough to LOSE ALL THAT WEIGHT! Come on, sombody write a DIET BOOK---The 14 day Survivor Diet Book!;)

It appears to me they have been eating the chickens prior to going to Tribal Council...kinda like the last supper (together).

Why do they have to show them "offing" the chicken, GROSS!!! Last week I had to close my eyes and my ears for at leat 5 mins because of it.

I am glad they are even now. Makes a better game that way.

Merge should be next week but you never know...

Finalle...I am thinking maybe the 19th?? because they probably won't have one on Thanksgiving....as long as I know by the beginning of December/End of November so I can set the VCR. I will miss the 5th, 12th, & 19th.

I also wonder what the tiebreaker will be this time if both tribes vote as a block against one person. I don't think it'll be previous votes again. Any ideas?

Good point... Sharon A. as the deadlocks seemed destined to happen, unless someone tries to jump ship! I really think something "NEW" is going to happen this year, for sure.

PS: Oops... SSB missed your birthday! HBD!

Thanks for the BDay wishes, but how did you even know? I never mentioned that it was birthday. Does SSB know all? :)

There's so much to respond to here in my current favorite DIS thread!

Pam, the camera men DO know where that boat is it seems. But the camera pan is so fast, I can't figure out where it is!

I was sure Shii Ann was getting the heave-ho last night. They obviously decided to oust RobB. Perhaps as stated earlier they were concerned about him being too strong a competitor in individual challenges. Or maybe it was the bananas. On the other hand....maybe they were just sick and tired of listening to him!!:D :jester: I know I was!!!

WDW2000, I seem to remember them showing a Survivor on Thanksgiving once before....

Can anyone give a recap of RobB on the morning show???
