Survivor - Exile Island is getting hot!

According to www.realitytvworld.com, online wagering was immediately cut off after an influx of suspicious bets from one survivor's hometown. Want to read the story? (SPOILER ALERT!!) Click here.

BTW: this site had excellent, spookily accurate spoiler threads -- so much so that I don't even read them anymore because they're always right and nobody at work will talk to me about Survivor anymore because I know way more than they do. pirate:

I think you're on the right track. We taped Survivor last night and watched the previews for Sunday at least 4 times (in slow motion). It did show Terry and Aras on a wall. The clip of Danielle was from last night's puzzle challenge. The clip of Cirie was of her sliding down a wall. Everything in the background, including the wall, was greyed out, with Cirie being the only thing in color (she had on a yellow top). I don't recall any previous challenge involving climbing up or sliding down a wall, does anybody? I thought it interesting that the wall was greyed out in the clip, leading me to believe that it was the same wall with Terry and Aras, but they didn't want it to be that obvious. My guess is its Terry, Aras and Cirie.

Also, the "Next time on Survivor" clip, showed the girls battling it out with the fire. Danielle was blowing on a small flame, while Ciries flame was as high as the rope.

I love this article I found regarding the last Survivor Challanges:

Survivor: Panama - Episode 12 Summary
'Terry Thinks He's God' By zipperhead
Original Airdate: May 4, 2006

Afterward, Jiffy calls out everyone’s loved ones: Terry’s wife, Aras’ mom, Danielle’s mom, Cirie’s husband, Shane’s son (named Boston. Oh, okay - so that’s what that’s all about. Waitaminute…Shane has his son‘s name tattooed on his…oh, over his heart. Okay, that‘s kind of cool. Whatever.) Then Terry gets his balls in a vice. He has to pick two Survivors who get to spend the night with their respective peeps, eating pizza and cavorting in a private room. One Survivor gets to take their person back to the camp. Another Survivor gets just a hug from their mom/wife/husband/son. And the last Survivor that Terry picks can only wave at their family member from twenty feet away before that Survivor gets shipped off to Exile Island. Basically, with this pick Terry will be choosing the person who is not going to give him their vote from the jury under any circumstance. Terry takes his wife, naturally, and then picks Shane’s son as the other person who gets to spend the night eating pizza and snacks. Cirie is allowed to take her husband back to camp. In a flash, you may have remembered that Terry was upset at Danielle’s “betrayal” at the last TC. It’s a no-brainer then, as Aras gets to hug his mom and Danielle is left to yell back and forth with her mom from across the great divide of twenty feet. “Love you”, “love you”, “proud of you” *tears* *tears*. I throw up twice while watching this.

First we watch Danille head off to Exile Island. She knows that Terry was mad at her for ruining his game plan. She takes a whack at a coconut with the machete and says, “Maybe this is Terry’s head”. Well, that’s fine - until she starts drinking from the coconut that she split open. That just seems weird. Was she thinking, “Mmmm, Terry’s brains are so sweet and refreshing.” Hey, don’t look at me. I’m not the one pretending to be a cannibal.

Back at camp Cirie shows her husband, H.B, around. When she shows him the snail guts that she keeps and uses as fish bait, he starts looking around for the boat that‘s going to get him the hell out of there. Then he gets a look at the water they drink. It’s putrid. He is amazed at how his wife has been able to live under these conditions. He says she’s his hero.

Meanwhile, Terry and his wife and Shane and his son are brought to a nice little villa in Panama. They are overjoyed to see how much food they have there. Terry’s wife exclaims that she can’t wait until he gets back to looking like his normal self. Apparently, he’s shrunk a couple of inches. And he‘s shorter, too. Shane reflects back on how he almost quit the contest. But he’s glad that he didn’t because then his son would have missed out on this little adventure. Shane’s son says that his dad is more like a brother. Maybe you should check those DNA records, Boston. You could be involved in your own little Chinatown relationship and not even know it. Terry shows his wife his immunity idol with the shrunken head. And she stays in bed. She’s a real good wife. The lights go out and his wife makes him go through another reward challenge. No telling if he won that one.

Day 33

Back at camp, Cirie has her husband do all the work so that she and Aras can “reserve energy”. Her husband feels like he’s being taken advantage of. Seeing how well Cirie is manipulating people in this game, it’s a feeling he probably gets pretty often.

When Terry and Shane are brought back, Terry explains his reasoning for who got to spend time with family. Basically, in Terry’s mind, a spouse and a child are more important than a parent. Aras doesn’t like that attitude. Terry tells him to shove it. Aras sits there and thinks about shoving it. Aras is a wimp and Terry knows it. Cirie is still happy because people keep getting angry with each other and not with her. Cirie has watched this show before.

Immunity Challenge

Danielle is brought back for the immunity challenge. This time, the Survivors have to stand on a pole out in the water and lower a bucket on a rope into the water and bring water up so that they can pour the water from the bucket into a bamboo shoot that holds a flag. The first person who gets enough water into the shoot to raise her or his flag wins the challenge.

Terry gets off to a lead with Danielle and Aras trying to keep up. Cirie is useless, as usual. Shane is worse than useless - he somehow manages to spill water into Terry’s shoot. Terry wins and does a dive off of the pole. Shane tells someone to shut up. At first, you might think that he is yelling at Terry. But when Jiffy gives his trademark “One of you will be going home tonight” speech, Shane mocks him. Big mistake. Nobody mocks Jiffy and gets away with it.

Terry goes spouting off at the mouth about how he has two immunity idols now and that is enough to get him to the final three. Maybe, but that doesn’t guarantee you a spot in the final two. Terry actually has another confessional where he brags about having the best chance of getting the vote form the jury. If Terry has one tenth the attitude in camp that he displays in his confessionals, then nobody will want to give him the big prize. Meanwhile, Shane thinks he, Aras and Cirie are going to be voting off Danielle. Obviously, it did not sink in to his little pea-brain that those three people didn’t fill him in when they decided to get rid of Courtney. Therefore, they are not as tight with him as he wants to believe. Cirie lies right to his face and tells Shane that she does not have an agreement with Danielle and Aras. Shane says over and over how safe he feels. This is what is known as the big giveaway - someone who says they are safe is the next person out.

Tribal Council

Shane again says he feels safe. Terry says he feels godlike. Aras says he’s having a good time. They’re all idiots. Then they go to vote. Shane votes for Danielle, Terry votes for Aras, The other three again vote as a block and get rid of Shane. Apparently, Cirie and Danielle are keeping Aras around in the vain hope that he can beat Terry in at least one IC so that they can try to get rid of him. We are now left with one old guy, one young guy, one old woman, and one young woman.

Next week:Terry really does become God and he goes all Old Testament on everyone.

Hmmm. what does that mean?

and there are no updates since last night. I am on the West coast and the show just started. Anyone know.......???????

Aras!

High light above to see.

I was so furious. I turned the TV over to Grey's and didn't even flip back to Survivor. So totally didn't want that person to win.

I don't go to realitytvworld but for the best spoiler information you will ever read is on survivorsucks.com.

Guess nobody here is happy that Aras won, I am. At least Terry has his gas guzzling 2007 Yukon to drive around.

What's next guys - Big Brother any one? Did you see the advertisement during the finale about BB All-Stars and the public gets to pick who goes in.

Aras won.

Even he is not the least bit interested (or interesting).

Cirie most popular? Please. No-one in my life that has been popular was THAT manipulative. This was the most disfunctional SURVIVOR ever.

If Shane wasn't there for comic relief, I think it would have been chopped.

Im so glad Cirie didnt make it to the final 3.Im sorry, I do not see the fasination with her. Yes, she seems like a very nice person, who seemed very likable. BUT, so what????? Why did she deserve to win? She did not do much..Sure she came there knowing nothing about wilderness life. Yet, a lot of survivors come in not knowing much. Why is she so special?
I really wanted Terry to win. I am glad Aras won over Danielle. I mean he was a strong player, and he did a lot around there. It seemed like Danielle seemed put off by the whole thing. She hardly smiled at all.

When Danielle picked Aras, I told my DS that we should go to bed. Of all the survivors, this was the worst final 2. Even when the likes of Clay, Sandra, and Brian made it to the final 2, there was at least someone worth cheering on. Once Terry was ousted, the best survivor was out of the running.

At least Shane quit smoking.

Imay be in the minority but I'm glad someone from Casaya won. I was rooting for Danielle but only because I had here in the office pool. It was funny watching Terry struggle to stay on the floats after he had been so dominate in other challenges. He should have known not to win the car.

I'm glad Cirie won the car on America's vote. :thumbsup2

I agree..one of the more borest final two ever!
I don't know if it was the people or just the age of the show!

Terry deserved to win.....Aras...NOT

enough said,

That's the great thing about survivor you just never know who is going to win.

Terry was strong at challenges, nobody is denying that, but Terry social game left a lot to be desired. He was very athletic, but didn't interact well with anyone in a social setting.

Unfortunately, manipulation is part of the game of survivor as is deceit, lying and back-stabbing. It's a game, it's not real life. Why is it so difficult to seperate the two. It's not like these people are life long friends and do this stuff to each other and it truly affects a real relationship. They are all strangers thrown together to play a game for money. It's entertainment and we all seem to tune in every week to watch it all unravel. I am sorry, but I can't really judge any of these contestants character's based solely on this "game show."

While I'm not happy Aras won (I think he's an incredibly boring and pretty immature guy), I thought the Final 4 was pretty interesting. While I rooted for Terry, I couldn't believe he had such a big physical letdown in that last challenge. The game was his to lose, and he lost it. Oh well.

And hey, at least I was right in saying to be careful of putting too much stock in the previews! I kept saying to not assume that Cirie was going to win the fire challenge just because previews showed her with a higher flame.

{Sorry, I've got some Terry-style gloating in me} ;)

I couldn't agree more. Part of the fun of Survivor is being an, ummm....survivor. Whatever it takes, and whether we like it or not, Aras survived somehow.

I remember several times during the show yelling at the TV "vote off Aras!" He was so clearly the biggest threat to everyone, not just Terry. I really wanted Terry to win but I don't see anyway possible even if he had been the nicest guy in the world. Funny that Shane felt that he deserved it too.

Oh well, another year down the tubes. I'll miss you Jeff.

Aras was such a spoiled, condecending brat. I find it hard to reward bad behavior and now he's just another semi-rich spoiled, condecending brat in CA.

I was not impressed with Danielle's or Aras' answer for "what would you do with the $$$?" Their answers were very lame. I was hoping that a non-Casaya member would win.

I think Sally, Austin, Nick and Terry had excellent attitudes throughout the entire game.

If I was Terry I would not have been able to stop throwing up around the Casaya camp. (All that egoing, ranting, outraging and jerkiness was enough to make me not wait for the fall Survivor).

They better get better contestants (although their editing was great) - or Survivor, won't survive.

I was thrilled Aras won. I didn't care for Danielle and I couldn't stand Terry. He's a spoiled brat!! Mr. Know it all. I loved Cirie. I was glad she won the Yukon. I think she deserved it. I can tell Cirie is a sweet spirited person. She wasn't a stab you in the back person. I bet if she was in the final 2, she would've won. I think she really played the game fair.

I didn't think the final challenge was fair. The higher weight is going to have a tougher time balancing.Even a child could stay on longer than most poised adults due to simple physics..I was bummed :sad2:

What you saw in Terry as being a spoiled brat, I saw as confidence. He never once had to call anyone names in order to survive. He didn't have to talk down to anyone. He was the epitome of military officer, IMHO.

I agree, and the show pointed the difference out to us. When Danielle went to both of them, seperately, to explain why she hasn't made up her mind, Terry was mature, and did not pressure her, while at the same time letting her know she should pick him. He did not make her feel uncomfortable at all. Aras, he goes crazy on her. Telling her he would be so very disapointed, threatens her, ect. He wouldn't let it go, either. When she was in the tent with the paper writing down the names for who would get the votes (where did she get pen and paper anyway?) he was harrassing her. Terry, on the other hand, gave her space.

My Dh, who works nights, so doesn't watch Survivor, HATES when he hears it was a balancing challenge. Women are naturally better balanced then men, they are better poised, and weigh less.

But, it works out, because there are a lot of challenges that require brawn. The men certainly dominate those challenges.
