Survivor 49 - Watching? Thoughts?

My sister-in-law years ago tried out for Survivor but was not selected. IIRC she only tried once to do it.

I would have a really hard time with the seafood part like another poster mentioned since I don't eat that. I'll just sit here comfy in my home

I was reading about the build up for 50. I did not realize that they are going to air a marathon of shows from previous seasons that feature contestants from 50 (starting February 9). It looks like two of the 49 cast members made it to season 50, but they cannot announce it yet since 49 is, unfortunately, not over.

I was glad to see the cast members included of course Mike White, but also Ozzy, Cirie, Aubry, Kamilla, Coach Wade, and even Q. That should be a fun cast, and I hope they take down the season 49 cast members on day one.

I do think there was some good gameplay going on to get this person out.

The jury's racial makeup is interesting, especially since there have been other discussions about subconscious bias over the years, especially after the New Era started. Even when the voters are the same race or other people of color, and even when their reasons seem straightforward, there is still a pattern. You don't want to keep someone in the game solely based on race, but this is definitely something I noticed.

My money's on them bringing back Savannah and Rizzo, both of whom annoy the snot out of me. So self-absorbed! And Rizzo just makes me thin kof "Rizzo the Rat" from the Muppets/

I had to look up who was voted off last night. I was up until the tribal council, but then I couldn't stay up any longer.

I'm disappointed in who was voted off. One of those that I liked.

So DH watches with me if he is present so had tidbits of info with gaps .... so always questions.

His biggest question he repeated several times last night was "Why is she so mean?" .... meaning Savannah. And I think he hit the nail on the head. She is a mean girl. She has to put others down. She thinks she is better than everyone else.

They better get her out the first chance they get, she is breezing through these competitions.

If it comes down to her and Rizzo in the finale, I 1000% hope the jury chooses Rizzo over her for the win. I don’t think I could stand to see the sneer on her face if she wins.

I agree. I have not liked Sage from day one. I do think Sage realized she was offending folks so she has reeled it in. Savannah on the other hand has been emboldened with her wins and her behavior is getting worse.
