Survived Cape Hatteras trip

I took 10, 15yo boys to Cape Hatteras for a surf trip during Easter break and lived to tell about it. It took me 3 days to recover. The boys were great and had a great time. They did, however, discover fireworks down there. And found out that they could have fires on the beach. Are all teenage boys a bit of a pyro? I think they found fireworks more exciting then girls. Little sleep, lots of mess. Oh, and I also think the second favorite thing of these boys was, ummm, releasing gas in the worst ways possible. Imagine being the only female here.

Frisco is nice. The girls in their surf group were very jealous. So next year some mom is heading up a girls house during the trip. Should be interesting as next year the boys will be 16yo.

Where did you stay?

DH wants to go there this summer, and I'm dreading it because there isn't a whole heck of a lot to do other than body surfing!

We stayed in Frisco. This is one town above the absolute tip of the Cape. Truly nothing to do here but surf, and go to seafood restaurants. I would guess if you stayed further north like Nags Head, or Kitty Hawk there is alot more to do, but it is also more crowded.
