I did one a few weeks ago but the amount of money I got was not worth it. The survey took 30 minutes and you only got 2 dollars. I know some others who still make 50 to 60 a month extra off surveys but I have no clue how they do it.

I make about $100 (giftcards or paypal) per month on swagbucks.com. Mostly surveys, but there are other tasks and activities.

How much time do you put in to make that much an when you say gift card is it like Visa gift cards are store specific? I'm trying to avoid a second job but need to make some more money to lay for health insurance.

I use IPSOS. Surveys are usually short, and payouts are small. I get paid with Amex gift cards.

I do globaltestmarket.com...you earn 1000 points and they send you a $50 check. The surveys tske between 5 & 30 minutes. I've earned 2 checks and I'm more than halfway to my 3rd check. I also do erewards but they need to invite you. If you can't do globaltestmarket because, I believe you need to be invited, let me know and I can send you an invite by adding your email.

I do Sunshine Rewards and make about $30-40 a month on surveys, but some people on the site routinely make over $100 a month. I spend about an hour or less per day, so not a great return per hour, but I can do them at home while watching TV or doing other things. Through SR, you can cash out for Disney or Amazon gift cards or through Paypal. If you qualified for every survey type every day on SR, you would earn over $200 per month, but I usually qualify for 2-4 of the twelve daily surveys per day. You can also get cash back for shopping through Sunshine Rewards, but most of my earnings are through surveys.

I'm also a Pinecone member and get $3 per survey, but I only get a couple of surveys per month. I like them because I am always qualified for the ones they send and I sometimes get to test products.

I also belong to MySurvey, but I haven't done a survey through them for awhile. Nothing bad about them - it is just hard to keep up with too many survey sites.

30 minutes a day on average, I used to goof off on the computer with games, but will now do Swagbucks instead. Or I do it on my laptop while watching TV later at night with my husband. I also get credit for shopping on line, so if I order something online, I will link through Swagbucks. Little amounts add up.

I do Swagbucks.

My first 2250 points every month go toward buying 5 $5 Amazon gift cards. These are 450 points each and there is a limit on them of five a month that you can order.

Then I usually earn at least one additional $25 Paypal payment for 2500 points. Sometimes I earn two, in February I hit three $25 payments but that is an rarity.

I go on early every morning with my first cup of coffee. I can usually hit the daily goal in twenty minutes or so. A lot of this work is watching videos or quick special offers. I usually have a couple of other windows open at the same time and I'm reading my email and stuff too. If you hit the daily goal every day for a month then you get an additional bonus and all those bonus points are usually enough to get at least one of the Amazon cards.

Then I usually go on again later in the evening and try to earn a couple hundred more points. That's usually 2 to 3 surveys. So anywhere from 20 to 60 more minutes. Sometimes I don't feel like it and I'll skip this part, but I always do the morning hitting goal thing.

It's fine for extra money but once you get past the point where it is taxable income it just isn't worthwhile to me to spend hours a day on it.

I do e rewards through Southwest and only use it to purchase SW points, though other options are available.

How do you go about learning the "how to's" of swagbucks or globaltestmarket?

Is it easy? Is it just time consuming? How much time on a daily basis for someone who hasn't done this type of thing before?

i do swagbucks and quickrewards. my options are limited since i live in canada so i have only ever qualified for one survey on quickrewards. on swagbucks i have never qualified for a survey but i usually spend about 10 minutes each day on it doing searches playing games and doing the daily poll and in 2 months ive gotten over 1000 points (enough for a $10 gift card)

There is a Facebook page called "Swagbuck Offers that Credit" or something like that where people post what special offers are working for them. There is also a continuing thread on Fat Wallet. It takes awhile to get a feel for the lingo and acronyms but it doesn't take long to figure out.

Basically you register an account. On the left hand side you will see the daily goal. Click on "Discover/Special Offers" to do those. Click on "Answer/Surveys" to do those. There are several types of Special Offers. Some of them are trials. Some of them are "register your name and address" types. Some of them are "watch a short video." Some are register for a website..... There is a daily one that is print 25 coupons for 20 Swagbucks. I put my printer on pause, hit print, collect my money, and then delete the print job.

My recommendations:

Do NOT give out (Just skip any offer that requires it, not worth the money)

an email address you care about keeping. You will attract spam like crazy

your real home phone number/or your real cell number. Register a free Google Voice phone number. You will attract marketing calls. If it won't accept the Google Voice number, just skip the offer

Your Social Security Number (obvious reasons)

A credit card (although I have given it for a few well known companies like Redbox and Hulu). I have Prepaid debit card that has a $2 balance on it that I use for other things.

Do not download and install any software.

I started with zoompanel and than I got invited to globaltestmarket through zoompanel and than I got invited to erewards through globaltestmarket. It's very easy and not real time consuming. But it also depends on how far behind you are on surveys. I was about 10 behind on globaltestmarket, so it took me a while to catch up.
