Has anyone else received a post card asking you to take a survey about "potential tickets offered by Walt Disney World to DVC Members"? We got a postcard today and it has four options for you to comment on - 15% discount on length of stay passes (with and without "plus" options), $60 discount off annual passes, and $75 off (I believe?) premium annual passes.

I am excited! Having no real interest in the water parks or Pleasure Island our vote was for the discount on the annual pass. $60 off each of those (that was the potential discount for adult, and I assume some type of pro-rated discount on children's tix) would be a significant savings for our family.

I am glad that DVC is making this effort to perhaps extend another perk to members, and one that will be substantial for many of us. :Pinkbounc

The $60 discount on AP's would be wonderful! That's 15%!

I like the UPH without plusses. We never do water parks and rarely PI.

I would love to get one, so I hope I'm chosen too. If not I think I would vote for the discount on the annual pass.

Wow! That is great news. I won't get too excited until it happens but be very happy to take the discount on the PAP!

Did get one, but I did receive a survey for information relating to our stay at SSR.

I'm glad to hear that they are seriously considering better discounts! We'll take $60 on an AP! I would like to see discounts on park hoppers too. APs just don't make sense for some who don't travel more than once a year.

Rethinking the park hopped idea...because with the $60 discount...APs end up almost the same price at 7 day PHPs. Of course, getting water park access with PAPs would still be more expensive. Hmmmmm...

I didn't get a card, but thanks so much for sharing the info with us. At least the potential for a discounted AP sounds promising, and it would be the best option for my vacation style. :)

Plus, it would certainly be a good selling point for DVC, now that they face a little competition from Fairfield. OK, we all know the advantages of DVC, but first time timeshare buyers looking at places may not immediately see the advantages of DVC over Fairfield based solely on location.

I did not receive one but here's hoping I do. I will have the discount for AP's marked before I get it out of my mailbox.;) That is great news that they are doing this survey.

Can it be? Are the Grand Poo-Bahs of Disney listening to the rank and file?

I'm all over a discounted annual pass.

I hope I get one. If we could get a discount on an AP or PAP I would buy them for sure. Then we would go more often - even if we had to book rooms with cash. If you think about it Disney would more than make up for the discount with the extra room bookings, food and other purchases. Even if we don't all get the survey, I hope that those who do vote AP discounts (after watching the other survey thread on this board it seems like a lot of people want that).

I got a survey postcard today too! But my survey prices were very different from yours. For instance-

The PAP was offered at a $125.00 savings (25% off reg. prices) which would equal- $374.00 Cost for children's tickets would be 80% of the adult ticket.

The UPH would be 15% off and go as follows:

1 nite/2 day- $110.00
2/3- $150.00
3/4- $201.00
4/5- $240.00
5/6- $268.00
6/7- $296.00
7/8- $325.00

PHP- would also be 15% off and started at

5days (2 pluses)- $239.00
6 (3 pluses)- $265.00
7 (4 pluses) - $291.00

and finally the AP-

save $100.00 (25% again) off AP- which would bring the cost of it down to $279.00 - THIS IS THE ONE I VOTED FOR!!

On my survey they asked me to rank in order of preference which I liked the best to the worst. And then asked what the likelyhood of my using a AP at that rate. I told them I would DEFINETLY use it! The rest of the survey was about the last 2 trips I took to WDW and what kind of pass I used. I found it interesting that they asked if I used someone elses leftover days on any of the tickets I used for the parks.

All in all- I'm pretty excited about the possible discounts they may offer! Let's keep our fingers crossed that that 25% of AP comes thorugh!

I just hope they follow through with the survey.
I am all for the AP discount. Now if they could implement it before our trip in Oct/Nov.

:bounce:

Maybe they are listening! :D

25%...impressive! If that happens...we'll buy APs and then we'll have to buy more points!

For the UPH...is that 15% off of the current retail price...or 15% of the DVC discounted price? We've never purchased UPH passes. Well...I guess we did inside of a package...but that was 7 years ago and I have no idea what we paid for it.

Having an annual pass is a real treat, but they are expensive. With a discount I would probably buy them every year. Hope i get a postcard!

Does anyone know how much a Fla resident AP costs??? I think its less than 25% less. But hey I'll take any discount they offer on an Annual Pass.

Tinkmom - one more thing - when did this survey come?

We got the postcard with the site info and our password today. I thought it was one of those that you often get right after a trip and barely glanced at it, then later this evening I read it and it specifically said it was about potential ticket offerings, which made me go see what was up!

I am glad that many think as I did, and that the discounted AP may be the preference of DVC members. We can keep our fingers crossed!

Karebear: My rates were different than you mentioned, but hey, I covered that aspect where it asked what I disliked about each offer I put something along the lines of "I like any discount, but would it better if it was discounted at a higher rate" :D Well, they ASKED!

I would llike a longer than 7 day, never expire pass, at a good discount. They could sell DVC members 25 to 50 day passes and have us do the bone scan like the annual passes to insure we do not share.

I would just buy everyone in the family one.

I did not get this card yet.

Got the card today!!! Filled out survey and voted for the Ap pass. That would be a great deal for every DVC member.

Wow...those discounts sound great! It's about time Disney added something substantial for members. It would make me feel special!
