I was thinking when I was at the gym today about Surreal Expiriences I've had in my life.
Like things that brought you to a different time/place or that you felt like you were watching yourself (like a sort of out of body expirience)

Have you guys ever had an expirience like that? they usually stick with you, and can be really weird minor things.

For example;

I used to work at Pioneer Village (which is this place where you learn about pioneer times & the people dress up like pioneers and it has all these old houses & buildings and stuff) anyways, around Christmas time they had a bunch of us (in costume) going around Christmas carolling, and at the end of the night, all of us that were dressed up as pioneers went into one of the houses where a celtic band was playing (think the 3rd class party in Titanic) and we all started dancing and it was just SOOO surreal, looking around I really felt like this was a scene that probably actually occured.
I don't know why but I'll always remember that because it really transported me back in time.

Another surreal expirience for me was seeing that Titanic exhibit last month, it was AMAZING to see things that were ACTUALLY on the Titanic and my mind just drifted back to that time.

And one more that's more of an out of body expirience, is in grade 11 I was doing a scene from Medea in my drama class, and I was standing on this ledge and just yelling and screaming my heart out at the guy that was playing Jason. And I really truly felt all that anger and it was all just so real, and I felt like I was myself WATCHING Medea do this...it was totally weird.

Anyways....share your weird, surreal expiriences here. They can be totally different from what I've described, go wild!

when i look back, like to interesting times, it seems like its a play going on in my head. also, when i was in one of my first plays, it was like someone else was controlling me. it was like i could watch from the audience.

Yeahh that has been happening to me alot more often.
I cant remember any experiences right now but I can tell you that its so freakky ;)

When I went to Washington, D.C. when I won a National award last May. 101 other contestants and I (2 from each state and D.C.; junior and senior levels) spent 4 days in D.C. going places, sightseeing, meeting people, and having an awards ceremony in the National Museum of Natural History at nite, when no one was there. It was such an amazing experiance. I was like "I did this? ME?! I'm HERE?!" My body didn't feel like mine.

It was the Prudential Spirit of Community Award, for doing community service projects. It. Was. So. Freakin. Amazing. And. The. Keynote. Speaker. Was. Peyton. Manning! (ok yeah we're Pats fans, but still!)

Crazy amazing. Funny thing, though, we were there for 4 days, I came home for a day, then left on my 8th grade class trip. Ironic thing? My class trip was to D.C! :lmao:

Black Creek Pioneer Village?
If so... I LOVE THAT PLACE! =D

But... I really can't think of any surreal experiences right now, even though I've probably had some.

Seeing my favorite singer in concert was definitely surreal. To this day, I can't really remember what happened because at the time it felt like I was really there... like I was dreaming it or something.

It was so awesome XD

my whole cancer experience.
it's soooo surreal to me that i've lived and overcome so much.
it's like 'did i REALLY do that?are you sure?'.

I remember having a dream about having anasthetic for some reason and everyone telling me to fall alseep. Then about 2-3 years later, I had to have some teeth out and the same thing happened, straight to the same things those around me were saying O_o Talk about Déja Vu.

Also there's a time when I was in Epcot and we had got off Soarin'. After that we walked to the Mexico Pavillion and it felt I was walking in a dream as everything was so distant (then when we got there, I nearly fainted and had to go to First Aid for 2-3 hours where I was told to sleep and get up occasionally for a drink as they said I was dehydrated)

When I fell and buckle fractured a bone.

I literally SCREAMED and was crying like a baby, everyone thought it was a kindergartner..it just seems unrealistic now that I think back on it, like i was watching over me..screaming like a baby..

It hurt really bad, it like..jammed, fractured then latched together D: and after i fell...my body came tumbling after on top of it ( if that makes sense) so it like..pushed it even further.

Band judging or competitions.
Just..everything about them, the lights, the intense feeling..it just felt like i want me, and i was in "Crazy-band-chick" mode. Its AMAZING.

Definetly agree with you there.

And this one time, I was with my friends at the haunted house my high school does every Halloween.
We were all in the auditorium and they turned on the most intense strobe light EVER, and it was just so surreal.
It definetly didn't feel like reality.

When we walked into the park at DLRP for the first time during their parade with the just like we dreamed it song was surreal to me, because after 11 years of begging my parents to take us to Disneyland and being met with 'we cant afford it'/'we dont have time' I was finaly there

Also when I was sitting my TEE it was very surreal because it was like 12 years of schooling all comming down to these few hours....also the first few weeks of uni were pretty much the same cause it was like...im at uni.

I don't really remember it but my mom and dad tell me this story all the time. . .Ok when I was 4 I had open heart surgery 2 fix a murmer (hole in my heart). So of course they put me under. . .but my mom and daddy told me that when I finally came to I told them AND the doctors exactly what they did 2 me. I told them that I sat on a cloud and watched them. Kinda weird. . .
