I had posted earlier on here somewhere that I was planning giving my mom a trip to Disney World in May, as her Christmas present. It has been an unbelievably rough year (ok, two years really) for the two of us, and this past weekend we were delt another blow, with my dad (my mom's ex-husband) landing in the hospital. Not to go into great detail and bore everyone, but some bknd: soon after my parents divorced, about a year ago, my dad was diagnosed with a form of dementia similar to alzheimers- he is only 58. So, I essentially became his caretaker (I'm 25 for anyone wondering), but now that his health has deteriorated greatly, mom is helping me out also. It's a tough situation to be in, but she's awesome 
So, enough of that. I thought mom needed something to look farward to finally. (It has been two years of, if it can happen, it will- to us
) So, Saturday night after I took mom out to dinner, I told her I was giving her her Christmas present early, because I simply couldn't wait any longer! 
I presented her with a Christmas gift bag, with a copy of the 2007 Unofficial Guide inside. On the cover I had taped a LGMH that read "turn to p.161". On page 161 (the page describing PORQ), was another LGMH which read "May 2-6, 2007." SHe stared at it for a couple seconds, and then burst into uncontrollable tears. I'm talking the gasping for air, can't talk, kind of tears. It was a solid 5 minutes before she could speak- at which point I was also crying, obviously. She had just said earlier in the night that she hoped she would be able to afford to make it to WDW again one day. Well, May 2 is that day now!
I just wanted to share my good news with everyone! Sorry it is so long, but I thought some background was needed to fully appreciate my excitement
