hi

when i booked are honeymoon with travel city direct i got speaking to the girl about disney and stuff.
i told her i used the DIS a lot to plan are honeymoon.
she told me virgin and travel city direct check the forums on the DIS when they change the price's of the holidays and flight.

looks like they are starting to take notice.

les & bev :santa:

Yes, congratulations on losing 4 adult air fares to your main rival this October for being horrendously over-priced!

I agree:thumbsup2

This is the 1st time in 17years we have not got any flights booked ATM(and we book minimum of 6seats, December just gone we had 11), as prices are ridiculous:headache::headache:

TCD have been checking these boards for years! I remember complaining about a villa we had through TCD years ago and within a few hours the bloke who was in charge of villa allocation phoned me to offer help!
they also keep an eye on the dibb as well!

As another example - The Howard Johnson hotel nearest to Disneyland regularly read and post on the DLR board to answer people's questions :thumbsup2

some of the Disney Wedding planners read the weddings board.

Yeah, I know for a fact there are a number of Disney 'suits' who read the DIS too.

As for Virgin looking in...well following in Dollyrar's footsteps...good job in pricing yourself out of our business. I've flown with Virgin for a long time now and have been been a bit of a fanboi (girl) for the brand in general over the years.

I've just about thrown the towel in on them now though after looking since January. I refuse to pay close to £2k for 2 PE seats (they're good, but not *that* good) outside of school holidays and in hurricane season to boot, so that means flying economy. However I also refuse to pay £1.3k for 2 cattle class seats when I can get them for less than 2/3rds of that elsewhere, especially considering the inferior IFE.

After 14 years I'll be flying with someone else this year. Brand loyalty only goes so far and they can be assured that it's not just my money in September they've lost but future bookings too.

Im not surprised girls on the wedding forum advise not to say to much as the wedding planners look on these boards

I think its good that they do look on forum to help with questions with some one that may not be as obsessed with planning as us LOL

Another lost Virgin customer here, always fly Virgin but not this year, too expensive, silly prices
