Surprising kids with trip

I just booked our trip for next year in June. Was wondering when does Disney send out the magic bands and anything else.
This trip is going to be a big part of my kids Christmas present so I want to do something special at Christmas to let surprise them. Last time we went was 6 years ago. My boys have mentioned they would love to goto Disney again. The youngest was only 18 months first time we went, the two older ones were 3 and 10. Any ideas on how to surprise them on Christmas day?

My mother in law is surprising our niece and nephew on Christmas. She plans on giving them mousears with their names on them. After they realize what is going on, we will give them a paper count down chain.

My sister in law already received the magic express tags (trip is in January) That came shortly after we booked and notified Disney of our flights. Luckily she grabbed the mail that day. The magic bands come a few weeks before the actual trip so that shouldn't be a problem for a June arrival.
