I just thought I'd share this, because I was pretty surprised. We changed up some plans during our recent 4-night stay due to one of our party not feeling well. I was shocked that I was able to book 1900 Park Fare for basically any time I wanted just hours before we planned to dine. Same for Grand Floridian Cafe and Rainforest Cafe, neither of which was surprising. And I must say, 1900 Park Fare's dinner buffet was pretty great. The prime rib was delicious. So was Tiana's gumbo. We met Cinderella, Snow White, Mirabel, and Aladdin. Honestly, we weren't interested in meeting characters, we just wanted somewhere close (we stayed at GF) and a buffet sounded nice. But it was a great experience. Highly recommend if you're wanting to meet some princesses/princes and enjoy a really decent meal.
Actually, all of the food we ate on this trip was good. Narcoossee's, GF Cafe, Rainforest (I like it, I don't care what others think, lol), 1900 Park Fare, Columbia Harbor House, Casey's, heck...the Italian sandwich at the pool bar was delicious. No complaints on the food. Oh, the brownie sundae at Plaza Ice Cream = YUM.
Moral of my post: check availability if you're feeling like making a change. You might find something you feel more like eating and that makes your dining experiences at WDW better.
