Have you guys ever ordered a gift basket or one of those big surprises where the whole room is littered with gifts and decorations? Did you order directly from Disney(I think they're called the Dream Makers)? What kind of pricing am I looking at? Were you happy with the service?

Well, we have ordered a few of those baskets over the years.... What I have done is just call Disney Vacation Planning (phone:714-300-7527).

One thing that has worked well for us is that I always talk to the same person. I have read a few negative experiences here on the DIS of orders not being delivered or done incorrectly. I found that when I speak to the same person each time, they seem to be able to find my file and even remember me.

The other thing that I like is that I am able to schedule all of my PS with VP. Then, when I register at the hotel, I get a printed itinerary of my stay. And, if we are doing Fantasmic seating or ELP seating, the tickets are there too. I don't have to pick them up somewhere else. It just helps keep me organized.

They were willing to add things to some of the baskets to help personalize them for us. They have always been really helpful.

Hm, sounds much more organized to do everything through VP then? I didn't know there was a way to do everything through one place, thanks for the tip! And so when I want to get the same person, when they answer I just request the name of the person I spoke to last? Can they always forward me to the person I request(assuming they're working that day)?

I guess I should make my PS's through them at the 60 day mark, right? Sounds easier! Thanks a heap!

Priority Seating (like WDW's "ADR"s, but...different name and no proper reservation number).

Vacation Planning. What any Disneyland Resort Hotel guest gets to use. Kind of like a non-Disney nice hotel's Concierge. They can arrange for baskets to be in your room, they'll make your PSs, they'll arrange for the extra-fee special seatings at Fantasmic, etc etc. Once you make your reservation you will get their phone number (though I think it's on disneyland's site anyway)!



I have NEVER wanted to buy any of those special things...but here I am, deciding to have my own birthday trip with my family (which they are happy about b/c I never let them celebrate my b'day), and I'm pathetically wanting the big one, the almost $400 one. I will NOT order it for myself and if hubby ordered it I would flip out! Not sure who I want to get it for me, LOL, but gosh do I really wish it would appear!

tell me about it! I want to do the big gift pkgs for my daughter.. but with a "christmas theme" rather then birthday.. AND last year when we were on our Disney cruise my DD tossed her "eyes" (disneycruiseline binoculars overboard.. she thinks Ariel has it, and will return it to her when she is done with it.. I am HOPING that they can help me with that!
