Surprises for toddler (25 months) while at Disney

I've read a few recent threads that suggest special surprises for your kids while at Disney. I've been thinking about this for a while.

Hopefully, Tinkerbell will visit AKL and leave our DS a gift each day. But what can I suggest she leave for him?

HOWEVER, I don't really want to give him the tattoos since he has sensitive skin and I can't do the adorable nuggets because he will barely be 2 on our trip and I think he's too young to have chocolate bars. Can I wrap them around something else?

We shop the Disney outlet online. We got DS and DD costumes to wear to the park VERY cheaply, Disney t-shirts for about $4-$5 or less, Disney pjs are also really cheap and stuffed animals. We also shopped clearance sales for view masters with disney reels and Color Wonders are great because they are big and can be held better by little hands and have Disney themes (plus they only write on the paper!).

Also go to the Disney store before leaving - always great sales. We do a number of character meals so I always buy a fe cute shirts that match the character we are seeing that day at the meal. So on Chef Mickey day they will get a MM shirt - Minnie for my daughter. I also stock up on fun "glow" sticks and stuff for nights out - and it helps to have that extra different light on them.

Have a great trip - we took a 2 year old a few years ago and she loved it.

Oooo what a great thread! Our DD will be almost 24 mths when we travel to WDW so hopefully we can get some more great ideas.

Great ideas! I will definitely keep an eye on the disney outlet website. I love view masters. Do you think he'll be able to use one at 25 months old. I haven't looked at the color wonders yet. I can't wait to find them.

Oh I would love to go to a Disney store. Unfortunately ours was closed many years ago. I should check to see if there are any left in Georgia. I love getting themed t shirts!!

What about the little disney phone, keys, and camera they had for stocking stuffers at Walmart. You can find them throughout the year on the shelves of the check out lane. I can't do this since DS already got them for christmas. Oh and btw he got the same phone at Disney in June for double the price. Imagine my surprise to find the same phone at Walmart. I wanted to stamp a big SUCKER sign on my forehead. LOL He's got three now since we bought him two more from walmart.

I bought the 6 pack of disney figurines from the disney store. It was $10 and included Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy and Donald. I have 2 kids and plan to put 1 of these figurines under each of their pillows each night. I also picked up a stuffed mickey and a stuffed minnie at the disney store for $3.99 each.

Oooh, I never thought of glow sticks/necklaces to bring in. Those are probably nice and marked up inside, eh?

If you have a Dollar Tree, they have tons of glow sticks and spinners in the toy aisle, plus lots of little Disney-themed cheapies (we got silly putty, mini-frisbies, puzzles, playing cards, stickers, coloring books, and crayons all there with Disney themes like Mickey and friends, Pooh, princesses, etc.). I packed some things in travel packs for DS6 and 2 on the plane, and then the room fairy left little surprises in their shoes each night.

The biggest hits with my 2 year old were the playing cards (he just enjoyed calling out the characters names over and over), the stickers (I kept a handful in my park pack for line-waiting emergencies), and the glow sticks and spinners. If you buys the bracelet glow sticks, they come with connectors and can be snapped together to make necklaces too.

I know these are less substantial, but at a dollar a pop, I wasn't worried about the little things getting lost or left behind, and the boys loved their "treasures"!

I found some little things that are disney related at dollar tree!
My two boys will be 7 and 2 when we go so i am doing a bunch of things for them these are some of them:

stickers
tattoo
mini etch a sketches(disney themed)
hershey nuggets(for my older son)
lollipops for both
glowsticks
color wonder markers and paper

plus a few more little things. my trip isn't until september but i like to plan everything out early!

Kids were four and one when we went this past December and loved the t's. I also do the stickers and sticker books etc for the plane ride. Found that they don't care too much about little trinkets during trip because too busy at parks. But glow sticks and necklaces were great at night to break out while waiting for fireworks to start. Also got a pack of tinkerbell pens at michesls arts and craft store for autographs. Got a cute and cheap peter pan costume at Disney store for DS after Halloween too. Costumes at Disney are insanely priced. DE had to have one and the shoes...spent all her spending money in one pop! Shop Disney store online for awesome deals. Have fun but remember that a two year old will be overwhelmed just with the parks and all the rides and sights so I wouldn't go crazy with the extra surprises. Just being there is the biggest surprise of all for them!

I head to the Disney Store and Dollarama before we leave to pick up things for a bag for each kiddo that Tink leaves on our first night there. I always include Disney sunglasses, Disney socks or underwear, Disney jammies, Disney facecloth (the kind that are shrunk til they get wet) and a very small Disney stuffie each. The stuffies are great when mousekeeping arranges them (watching tv, reading a book, playing cards, etc). We've also included notebooks, bubbles, small story books, stickers, t shirts and a disney kinder egg for the oldest.
