After reading these threads about how bad it has become to get ADR's in the past couple months (we've been doing CS a lot lately--only TS at DD), I've really come to the conclusion that they have separate reservations available for those not on the DDP. My DF is going to the UK tomorrow for 2 weeks and we wanted to go somewhere fun for my DD and I suggested WCC---she loves it there...but I was pretty certain we couldn't get in. Called up this morning at 10am, got right through, asked me if I was in Orlando (yes, live here), am I on the DDP (no, thanks) and what time do you want (7pm) -- Ok..sure...here's your reservation no. -- Conclusion, if you can't get a specific ADR you want...wait until you get here.

Wow! That is great to know. I just tried this weekend to get WCC dinner for week of May 6 on Wed. or Thursday, nothing availble except at 8:45 or 8:50. We are not on the DDP. Maybe I will try after we get there.

I could be wrong, but I believe Disney will make special arrangements for people that live in the area. They figure you live in Orlando, if you enjoy your dinner you will be likely to come back maybe once a month or so. While the average Disney traveler can only dine there whenever they are able to get to Disney. Basically if you become a regular, thats guaranteed money on Disney's end.

My mom was in Florida in January and wanted to go to Boma (she was not at Disney). She called in the morning to see if she could get a ADR for that evening. They said "Are you on the dining plan?". She replied "No." They said "Sorry, we have not available seatings."
