Where to stay??

I have been trying to plan a surprise trip for my 4 younger kids in April...the older 2 DD's will be in the Disney Music Days at the same time.

DH's problem is that his FISHING trip to CAnada is about the same time. Who knows when "the ice will go out"! And he will take off fishing.

So I figure for Xmas & an Anniversy present for my parents I will take them with us. They have never been & I thiink they will really enjoy seeing the kids there.

Do I stay at the poly, easy transportation for spliting up or having my parents hook up with us later?

Do we stay at AKL?? WE tried it last year & loved it. Not too many hotels like that anywhere!

Or do I hope hubby will come & get 3 rooms at the CSR? Haven't been there but have heard great things?

Part of the problem is getting a bed for my DH...if he comes at the last minute. All i want is a disney vacation...why can't this be easier??

What a nice gift. My vote would be for the AKL. Not only because it is our FAVORITE resort but because I also took my DGM to WDW last year and stayed here. She really loved it. the transportation was great. I know that the Poly has the monarail but it can be kind of hectic for older folks I feel and having to change monarails in the middle makes it even more confusing. My DGM just loved the AKL. It was such a unique experience for her. She always gets up before us and she loved sitting on the balcony with her coffee watching the animals as we slept or got ready. Also we did go to a lot of the other resorts and AKL just seems to be more laid back. She loved just sitting in the lobby taking in the views and talking with other people. This would be my choice for older folks .

Have you ever stayed at WL. It is a very special resort and great for all ages. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

How about renting DVC points for 2 studios @ VWL? Renting points is an excellent, economic way to stay "deluxe" without deluxe prices. 2 kids could stay on the sofa bed with your folks & 2 kids with you, & it would leave a space in your queen size bed for your hubby. Plus, you'd have some privacy & all the amenities of the WL, which is a fantastic resort!:D
