It was still raining when we got up this morning. We had breakfast and as the children seemed to have decided not to kill each other this morning DH and I decided to visit the parks on our own. I wanted to see the Whinnie the Pooh show. I havent seen this before and was really looking forward to seeing it as Eeyore is probably my second favourite character after Mickey. The children felt they were too old for this so they stayed back to watch the TV and hide from the rain. At home we get between 7 and 10 days rain a year and the plan of action is just to go indoors and wait it out. I therefore have to say the children felt this plan should be carried out everywhere. We had no waterproof clothes between us ant they had already told me on a previous day they were not wearing coloured bin liners.
We arrieved at the Salon Mickey for a coffee but it was full so we wandered into the park and stopped by the pin traders area at the end of main sterrt. Whilst we had a coffee and a brownie I spotted two pin trading friends and we chatted for a while. The had been caought in the rain the previous day and had used the shower as an excus to buy new outfits so they described them for us. we then parted agreeing to meet in the evening for the pin trading night in the Sequoia Lodge hotel.
The pooh show had a 15 minute wait so we joined the queue and wited until they let us in. I have always liked this theatre and was wondering what changes had been made. It looks very pretty One Hundred Acres Forest style. The show is lovely and the mixture of languages are well done both in the acting and the singing. After the show we wandered back to the car. I had a few tears as I walked back down main street as I knew it would be the last day in the Disneyland park until december. Our plan for our last day was the studios and more pin trading. We headed back to the cabin and had lunch we finished off the bits that were in the fridge. We then packed up most of our stuff. DH then dropped us off to do some more last minute shopping and we met up in the Sequoia Lodge hotel at 5pm. The pin trading nights are reguarded as chaos and rightly so if this evening is anything to go by. There are special limited edition pins sold on these nights and only 400 are released. they are sold in twos but there were clearly more than 200 people there. The pin trading team therefore decided to release 2 sets of pins so everyone colud have a pair each. People queued up and finally pins were bought and trading could start. You can also on this night each month buy a drink in the bar of which ever hotel it is held at and obtain a lanyard pin. After we had traded a whlie we went to Billy Bobs to have dinner. This is one of our favourite buffets and we go every visit. After dinner and sone last minute additional shopping we drove back to the village area of DCL and both children rode the bull. This was fun but they wanted to do it onsite rather than in the disney village as there were less people watching. Then we went back to the cabin and off to sleep.
