Surprise revealed on Sunday!

I'm dying to tell someone! We have been planning a family vacation to DL in Oct of 2008 for awhile now. We go about every 2-3 years. So after our last trip in 2005, I started bugging our best friends about coming with us. We have 5 kids and they have 7. About Jan. they informed myself and DH that they would be joining us. I was shocked but glad! We have been keeping this little surprise from all the kids since then. Well, this Sunday we will be revealing the Big surprise! I have made a little 5 minute video and at the end they all read it together.

Tomorrow is our big day. We are surprising our kids with our Disneyland trip which is just a week away. We've been keeping it a secret for over 10 months!

We were also going to go with our friends and their 7 kids (and surprise them all at the last minute) but their summer plans changed.

It has been hard. My DH keeps saying things to our kids and no one has picked up on it yet. He keeps forgetting that our kids don't know either.
I have been having a lot of fun teasing our oldest DD. When she starts that attitude- shes 17- I pipe in, I have a surprise that you don't know. She goes crazy asking questions and trying to figure it out. It is soooooo much fun!
We are going to DL for her graduation present.

We did the reveal and they shocked us. I expected jumping or yelling but I think they were all in a little shock and the little ones just didn't understand until we flat out said we are going to DL together! One of the boys finally said something with excitement but little emotion from the rest. It was very funny and unusual! I personally would have been screaming.

After the initial shock wears off they'll start getting excited. We told our kids about a surprise trip (it was about four weeks before the actual trip) and I was a bit upset they weren't just going wild. But then the next day the excitement began to really show. My dream has always been to wait until we are leaving for the airport but I just can't ever wait that long!
