My DH & I are driving up to WDW to SURPRiSE my little sister! My mom (who will be w/ my dad & little sister) will already be in Disney when my DH & I arrive. ((Hi, Magic2000!))

My mom & I are trying to find the perfect way to surprise my little sis! (Not in a park- our tickets don't start 'til the NEXT day!) What shall we do??

My idea was to knock on their hotel room door & cover up the eye hole, or something. (My mom & dad will be texting messaging me on my phone to keep track of when we arrive & where we are headed there.) What do you think? Is there a way you think you'd rather surprise YOUR little one?

She will be floored, I just want the best way to give the surprise of a LiFETiME!! :goodvibes

Maybe have them pretend (or really) order room service and you knock on the door, and she answers it....

What a great surprise -- how fun!

Here are some ideas:

1) How about meeting for dinner? You get to dinner first than have your sister escorted to your table.

2) Meet a designated location at Downtown Disney. Especially cool on a busy DD night.

3) Bring a special delivery to her room.

4) Make scavenger hunt out it --- I have heard of people getting Disney special help with this.

5) Have the front desk call her room and tell her that there is a special package waiting for her at the front desk.

No matter how you do it - it will be great!

I used to work for an airline, I was at Disney in the pool with the kids, my hubby flew in for the day, I met him by the pool fence and slipped him the key, he changed, then came back to the pool and got in the other side, swam up to the kids and popped up out of the water. They were so excited to see Daddy! I am sure whatever you come up with, she will be excited to see you!

Does she know what your car looks like? I know that is a silly question, she's your sister and probably does (not sure how old she is...)! But if not, could your parents pretend they are getting a car rental / taxi / transport somewhere and then get in and surprise, you're the drivers!

But the knocking on the door is also great. We did the w/ dd when she was younger. I'm in NJ now, and her dad was at the time in Gainesville and drove down for the day / 1 night - different room & hotel!!

She was super surprised!

A LONG time ago, my parents took my neice and I on a trip. Can't remember where. Anyways, I was probably 15-16 at the time, and my neice was 4-5.

Well, we stopped in myrtle beach for a few days, and after we check in there is a knock on the door that goes between our rooms. The one for parties that have rented two rooms, you know?

So meg goes and answers it. There's my sister and her husband. She screams MOMMY! and my sister starts bailing.

Very touching.

That would be my suggestion.

Our daughter did this last fall while we were in WDW. We started our vacation on a Saturday and our daughter was back in Ohio and called us every day at noon, her work lunch time, to see what we were doing or up to. She knows from past experiences that we return to the resort around 11-ish to swim and do lunch. We knew her husband was flying down to Florida to move his Dad back to Ohio and I kept carping to bring my daughter and let her play while he does the moving thing. Long story short, after 5 days of receiving her noon time phone calls, the sixth day she calls us, we're at the pool, and to see where we were and we look up, we're still talking to her on our cell phone and there she is standing in front of us at the pool, she flew down too and was going to spend 3 days with us at the resort while hubby loads his father up. Just about knocked us both over, really made or vacation special. We were seeing her but not believing it was truly her in person, too awhile to sink in and we're still talking to her on the phone.

Knocking on the door is good. I like it when you meet up at dinner and they just don't expect it. My daughter & I did this a few years back, she was away at school but flew home for the week as a surprise. We were going to a ball game so I got tickets for her & boyfriend. My husband was shocked when they came over & sat with us. They repaid us later that year by calling us & asking where we were going that night at WDW. they ended up meeting us there as they started their trip early

I like the idea of you meeting at a restaurant the night you get there. Either have you 2 already sitting down and you sister "find you" sitting at their table. Or the other way around.
