Surprise Nachos at Pecos Bill's

I just read an article about surprise nachos at Pecos Bill's. From what I understand... the nachos can only be ordered between 3-6 and they cost $90!!! They feed 6-8 people. If you order them you will be taken to a special vip section of the restaurant, given special plates and mugs for your drinks, and escorted by the entire staff. This is the first I've heard of it... the last time I was there was Thanksgiving time. I think they said the nachos have come about a couple of months ago. Has anyone bought these? Google or search on youtube. There's actually a video of them going around on FB.

It's also the experience. You get whisked into a back room and they have a little parade while bringing your nachos over to your table. You also get drinks (non-alcoholic). You get vip service and everyone gets cowboy hats and sheriff badges too. It is about the experience as well as the nachos.

I guess if you get eight unlimited drink, hats, and nachos, it might be worth it.... but still, I'd have to think about that one a long time.

You can go to just about any local bar and order a plate of nachos for about $12 and that will feed about 4, even if you say half that amount, you are still feeding 8 people for under $50. I have to assume the experience is really what you're paying for here.

Is this even real? Off to the restaurant board!

Wow, not us. A plate of bar nachos is a meal for 1 of us. No way do we get a dinner for 4 out of a $12 plate of nachos
While maybe DH and I are big eaters, DGD is not. DGD gets nachos every Monday at our local Mexican restaurant. She eats it alone, no one else would be able to get a full meal off her plate

Or you could go to City Walk to Margaritaville and order their nachos. Basically the same size it seems and only about $15.

Wife and I got that not realizing how big it was and wound up throwing away about 75% of it because we were stuffed.

This seems a little steep to me considering it is Pecos Bills, a quick service restaurant. I get that it serves 8 people, but geez. I haven't watched the video so perhaps the total experience is worth it.

As with most things in WDW, it's all about the experience....value is perception. We pay a premium to experience something unique, something we cannot get anywhere else and this sure seems to hit both of those targets

Yeah, but I also think there are a lot of ppl. that don't consider Nacho's a meal. A lot of ppl. wouldn't want/eat all of the toppings that come on it either which I think makes a difference.

Agreed! I can count the number of things we do a Disney because it's a great monetary value on one hand with no fingers on it.
