My son is getting married June 30. He and my future DIL are both working and also finishing college. They are paying for everything on their own but they haven't much left for a honeymoon. I decided to give them a mini honeymoon at Disneyland
.
It's not a complete surprise, because I had to tell them enough so they can plan. They know they're going to DLR for 2 nights (and are very excited about it).
What they don't know is that I booked them into the Fairytale Suite at DLH and they will also get to go to Club 33. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my dear friend for that.
I know my DISbuds can appreciate this! Neither of them has been to DLR since before DCA was built so it should be really fun. I imagine it will be pretty crowded since they'll be going July 2-4, but I didn't pick their wedding date so I did the best I could
Oh, BTW, the FT suite comes with concierge and is on the 11th floor of the Adventure Tower in a corner room. It's supposed to have a great view of both parks and DTD.
This is a little dark, but here is the foyer. The description says "Guests enter the Fairy Tale Suite delighted by pixie dust and the appearance of Tinker Bell, who illuminates a crystal castle encased in the wall. A marble foyer descends into an enormous bedroom overlooking the entire resort through floor-to-ceiling windows."
"The sage and champagne colors used throughout the suite elegantly blend the combination of blonde and glass furniture. The suites centerpiece is an exquisite canopy bed overlooking the corner view. The room is finished with crown moulding, automatic drapes and a custom-designed dresser, from which a flat-panel television ascends at the touch of a button."
"The focal point in the suites bathroom is a beautiful hand-cut mosaic of a stylized Sleeping Beauty Castle. The mirror disguises a TV and the double vanity countertop twinkles with shooting stars. Domes and Corinthian columns mix thematically with an abundance of modern amenities, including a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub with chromo-therapy. "
Thanks for sharing with me!!
