Hello all! I am looking for some suggestions on things to buy for an 8 yr old girl... I want to place a gift on her bed each morning before we head to the parks. Thank you!!

I found a lot of Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Cars, etc things in the Target dollar spot. Little coloring books, sets with pencils, paper, erasers, etc. Also the dollar stores are good for having little plastic characters or books, coloring books, etc. I also found Frozen merch at the Disney Store online. And Kmart had some shirts of Jake, Cars, Star Wars (and Angry Birds Star Wars), Doc, Sofia, etc. Walmart also has little plastic food containers (and I have seen these at Target, too) that have the Princesses, Mickey, etc. I am going to put some fruit snacks or candy or crackers, etc on these.

It would be hard to transport, especially if you weren't driving, but maybe shipping it to the resort would work? They don't seem to have any other Frozen stuff but have a lot of snow flake stamps, etc.I have bought some stuff for our 15 hour car drive that I plan on giving the kids each hour. So this is along the same lines as placing it on their beds while there (which I had forgotten about and might have to do, also).I found a lot of Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Cars, etc things in the Target dollar spot. I'd love to hear what everyone else has found, too. Looking to find a few more things before we leave.![]()
I used to do that when we had long car trips to visit family in Maine, we called them "travel surprises" I would wrap them in wrapping paper so they had to open them.My kids liked those "Where's Waldo" type books but they were disney themed, wonder if they still make those. I would give one to each kid then they would trade. I also would buy a couple of new dvds or borrow from library so they would have a fresh show to watch and that can eat up an hour of the drive.
They are usually good watching DVD's in the back seat, but since they are bigger now I have a feeling they are going to get more bored. I thought of the wrapping paper too. I am either going to do that, or just have a bag full of stuff that they can stick their hand in and not look, then pull out a surprise.
