Surprise for DH

Sorry if this isn't in the right spot...sorry if it's not....

SO... I wanted to surprise my DH by telling him that I am pregnant and our trip to Disney World is coming up (dec 27) and wondering if anyone has done this and what some of the ways you told (or if you're a guy) how did you get told?!

Here is how my wife surprised me:

Wife: (handing me a gift box) I know someone having a baby and I'd like your opinion on this gift.

Me: (opening the gift box) Hmmmmm... onesises are good. These look nice and warm.......(eyes stop on a folded piece of paper)

I open that paper and I see a picture of my wife holding something, can't really tell since she is far from the camera.

Next page shows a close up of what she is holding....a Pregnancy test with a Positive indicator.

I gotta say, I was floored with the news.

Next Tuesday will be the little guys 3rd birthday.

First of all, CONGRATS!!

Secondly, what a great idea! I couldn't hold my tongue long enough to make such a special surprise.

Anyway, having not been able to surprise DH with any of our pregnancies, I have always dreamed of the perfect way to tell him. You could:

1. Pose for one of your favorite PhotoPass pictures & tell him right before the picture snaps. Maybe quickly tell the Photog before the pose so she/he can snap at the right moment of surpirse?

2. Can't remember for sure, but it seems like you can call the resort you're staying in & purchase a birthday gift or anniversary gift or something and have it waiting in your room? You could purchase a birthday gift & have it waiting in your room, addressed to you & DH, saying something about "do not open until (due date)".

3. When shopping at one of the souvenir shops, gravitate to the baby items & purchase baby's first souvenir as DH realizes what you're telling him.

4. Have t-shirts made for you & DH that say something like "Expecting Mousketeer" & your due date maybe one that says "Mousketeer On Board" for you. Give it to DH to wear on first park day.

I like that idea! However, I think you should wear the shirt and see how long it takes for him to notice it! If he doesn't notice it you could always use the line "hey honey do you think this shirt makes me look fat?" Check Etsy.com for cute (not cheap looking) embroidered patches for the shirts!

Good Luck! There is no way I could keep that secret for 3ish more weeks!

With our 2nd baby we were told we would never have another baby so we weren't expecting it. What I did was leave the "stick" on the kitchen counter w/ a note "from" our 1.5 year old. Something along the lines she was going to be a big sister in 9 short months. I went to work and when he came in the house (he was all alone to read it!) he called me and was like "WHAT?!" It was pretty cool. I wish I could have seen his expression but it was still priceless hearing his voice.
