I remember reading something about this but for the life of me I can't find it. And yes, I have read the wonderful information provided by mesaboy2.

Scenario - We go to park "A" and use our 3 FP+. Then we head to resort to take a break with the intention of going to park "B" later that day. Is it possible for me to go to park "B" and set up FP+ #4 (at the kiosk) for my family while they are resting at the resort? I know that park hoppers are needed, and the 4th FP+ is subject to availability. Everyone is under my DME and linked to park hopper tickets. I just need to know if they have to be physically in the park.

We are staying at the BoardWalk Villas and I can see us starting off at HS, then ending the day at Epcot or visa versa.

TIA

I remember reading here from someone that you would be able to make your 4th FP from a computer/web browser on your phone or at a kiosk. I'm looking to see if someone can confirm that as well. I thought the idea was that you could finish using your FP's in one park, book a 4th in another park if you wanted and then travel over there for it and be able to use it, or just get a 4th in the same park.

4th, 5th, etc. FP+ for the second park must be made in person at the second park.

I don't know if summerskye can go to the second park alone and make a 4th FP+ for the entire party
without the rest of the party being there.
(It sounds like it COULD be done, but that's just a guess.)

If that has not been attempted, this might be a good opportunity for someone at WDW to try it.

No, you can't do it on your computer yet. It must be done at a kiosk in the park where you want the FPs. I don't know if all the people you're making reservations for have to be present, but at least one of you must be in the park.

Being at the BW I'm sure the OP would like to know if he can run over to International Gateway and make that 4th for the whole family at the kiosk right inside there.

You HAVE to be in the park you want to make your 4th FP selection at. As of now you can't do it through a computer or phone yet, only in the park.

And as long as your family members are linked to your MDE, you only need one person there. They scan your magicband and all the names in your MDE party come up. Then you select the ride and time and it's set for everyone in your party or those that you selected individually.

I've gotten the 4th FP quite a few times and I've only scanned my Magic Band to get everyone the FP. The rest of my party were there behind me, but they don't need to be as they don't have to scan anything or be present. So you can go to the park yourself while your family is at the hotel or elsewhere and get FP's for everyone

Thank you very much for clarifying that, I appreciate it, you just saved me the time and frustration of not being able to do it when I'm there! Good to know I can just send my wife over to the other park to get it done while we travel back to the hotel....she's much faster than me and used to be the one running through the park at RP getting the first FP and then after we got off that ride for the next one for later in the day under the old system!! LOL....Again, Thank You!!

CAS239 said her party was standing there behind her. I think the original question was can only 1 person be in the park at the kiosk while the rest of her party (on her mde friend/family) are at the hotel, not having been admitted thru 2nd park turnstile. I've been wondering the same thing as my dd and grand kids go back to hotel for naps, can I be the only one to check into the 2nd park of the day and secure 4th fp for all of us. Thanks for your help

WOW. I actually had a quest that the mighty Robo did not have an answer to. This has got to be a first. I wonder if I can get an additional FP+ for a prize. :rotfl2: You have been a wonderful provider of excellent information for years. I was kind of expecting a map showing the route between park "A" & "B". :lmao:

Seriously thanks for the info.

Bingo ! That's exactly what I am trying to figure out.

I'm a guy lol.

But no, your whole party doesn't have to be in the park to select them for FP's. They don't even have to be in Orlando lol. I have about 7-8 people linked in my MDE with me. When selecting our 4th FP last week in the park with a party of 4 (including myself), I could see the names of the other members in my MDE even though they weren't with us on our trip.

So only 1 person needs to be in the park to select the extra FP. Just remember though that everyone in the party has to use at least 1 of the first 3 preselected FP's to be able to select them for the 4th. If someone hasn't used any of the FP's but the rest of the party has, the person who hadn't used any can just go in MDE themselves and select the FP to ride with everyone. If they didn't use any of the 3, they can still select three while the rest of the party can only select 1 since it would be there 4th FP. So that would be the only separation since you wouldn't be able to select that persons name from the FP kiosk for the 4th one. But if you're all using your first 3, no need to worry about that extra info lol

I understand that. But, if they had yet to go thru the turnstile would there be an issue.

And thanks for your reply

That's wonderful. I use to be the FP- runner so I don't mind bouncing over to the second park. If the kids can rest, then daddy is can be happy later. :cool1:

I know this thread is rather old, but I had searched far and wide without finding another super "firm" answer to the exact question the OP posed. So, first thanks to the OP and all responders. Entirely possible I've just missed a recent answer on this - sorry for any repetition.

I also wonder if folks are finding that the answer is still the same YES as above?

Basically the scenario above re: 4th FP in a second park:
Can only 1 person as a "runner" be in the second park at the kiosk while the rest of his/her party (linked on MDE friend/family) are at the hotel or en route, not yet having been admitted thru 2nd park turnstile to secure 4th FP for all?

[We would have all used (or expired) 3 advance FP choices at first park by the time this occurs with hopper on tickets, but only one person will have gone through turnstiles at second park.]

Thanks all!

Before you do that ask at the front desk of your hotel if they can schedule your 4th fp for you at the hotel. Might save you a trip and give you a nap as well.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that FP is not connected at this time to gate entry. It does not require that the ticket/band have been used to access the FP function.

Correct.

4th FP in a second park:

Yes. I just did this recently.
