Time to go home
We got up at 8am, packed up, checked out, and ate breakfast at the POFQ food court. The food was great!
We decided to drive by Downtown Disney for some quick shopping and then head home (8 hour drive
)
I usually only make it to World of Disney and leave but decided that I wanted to see all of those other shops I never get to. My DD loved the Team Mickey store which had everything sports. We were able to get an Auburn football pin for her lanyard! I didn't know Disney had sports team pins to trade! They were really cool.
The Christmas store was beautiful and surprisingly had the best selection off all antenna toppers available. They even had Easter, Valentines Day, and St. Patrick's Day toppers in stock! That was heaven for me. Not only did I add to my collection but they are very inexpensive, really cool gifts and they give you free gift boxes!
The Disney Tails store (Pet Store) was great too. We bought some home made gourmet dog treats for our dog. They had alot of really cool stuff in there.
The very best thing we did was go down to the marina that is behind World of Disney/Team Mickey. They rent the small jet boats to kids 12 and older! We were sad to hear that the resorts were 16 with a driver's liscence but I was told that these boats are set to go only as fast as 5 mph so they can rent them to 12 and older. Half an hour was $24 and an hour was only $10 dollars more! There was a huge lake and as long as you were back within your time limit, you could drive down anywhere from Downtown Disney all the way to Port Orleans Riverside and back! I was very happy to learn that there were patrol boats out watching them and making sure everything was OK. DD had a blast and said it was the best thing of the ENTIRE trip!
That just goes to show that it's the things you don't plan but do on the spur of the moment end up being really special
We left after her boat ride feeling like we were being sent home with a good deal of pixie dust sent our way!
