I'm leaving this afternoon and just realized I'm going to have to pay for one of my meals OOP. I'll be there basically from tomorrow until Tuesday and was just wondering if there is a 'holiday surcharge' in effect now, as there was when I was there in early July. If anyone can help, Thanks!!

What is a holiday surcharge?

Basically it's where the prices for the foods (most of them are buffets) are increased by about 4 dollars, during peak seasons.

1) Correct.
2) Extra fee for food during holidays.
3) We all KNOW that food is tougher to get during holidays
. . . cows want time off, so milk and beef is harder to acquire
. . . flowers want to "mellow out" during holidays, so harder to find them
. . . vegetables want to just "veg out", so harder to get them to grow
. . . and, fish, we all remember how lazy they are during holidays
4) Disney just passes these costs along to their guests.

It is not all restaurants, it applies only to buffets, all you can eat family style, and fixed price, fixed menu restaurants. If you wish to avoid it, choose an a la carte restaurant.

December 20th is the correct date as far as LTT goes. I did call to reconfirm my ADR for the 17th and they quoted me a price per adult of $31.90 something (dinner) inclusive of tax. I also asked for the rate on Dec 20th and the price will be 36 something. Sorry I can't remember the exact change amount!
