Suprised - no availability at 180 day mark:(

Is T-Rex just beyond popular, or is it a smaller restraunt? I tried booking at the 180 day mark, and there is zero availability. Does this happen often there??
 
I would check back. It might not be loaded in their system yet. I once wanted one of the DTD restaurants, not that one, and it wasn't loaded too far out. I highly doubt it is fully booked, but I guess it could be. I would try a week before or more or any day that week just to see.
 
T-Rex is popular, but not that small, and doesn't usually book up 6 mos. in advance unless you're going during a prime holiday week.

We had no trouble booking for a lunch last week, and I even changed the time twice in the last month before our arrival for a Friday lunch (5/11)

I thought maybe they hadn't "loaded" T-Rex for November 2012 yet, but just tried party of 4 for lunch on 11/14...and everything at Downtown Disney, including TRex, was available between 11:30 & 12:30.

What day are you trying for, and what party size/time? If you have an large party, it may be more difficult...

I believe T-Rex is not Disney owned. Others have had luck calling the restaurant directly (407) 828-8739
 

As mentioned, T-Rex is not owned by Disney, and furthermore, they only release a fraction of their available tables to the Disney Dining Reservation System. Call direct and you'll likely get your choice of times and days.
 
I think you have to call TRex I have never seen it available. My sister got in with no reservations between Christmas and New years so I don't think it is THAT bad.

Definitely call. We couldn't get it online and I was surprised too. We called and they were able to get 7:30 on a Friday night. And this was not at 180 days because I didn't know we had to call. So if you call soon you should be able to get what you want!

Thank you all SO MUCH for posting this information and phone number. It isn't open yet via DDP and Disney but I just called, the phone was answered immediately and I was able to book for exactly the time and day that I wanted: 11/20 at 5 PM.

They do reserve a large portion of seats for walk-up guest. I have clients who went a few weeks ago and waited about 15 min. to get in with no reservations.
 
I believe non Disney owned restaurants are required to place only 10% of their seating in the ADR system. You should call them directly.
 
Yep, that's right. I called T-Rex directly and got reservations no problem. Now just working on HBD!
