Suprise Trip, but no Codes!!

My dad told me tonight that he wants to try and go to Disneyworld in three weeks, and of course the room only codes are no longer valid. Other than AAA, can anyone think of any other discounts that might be out there? I have already checked Mousesavers. I'm pretty sure I'll have to end up paying GASP! rack rates, but I though I'd check with the experts first! Thanks!

AP rates are available, but that is about it. Do you have an AP or are you willing to get one? It may pay for itself with the room discount. You also have a lot of perks with it... the one I like the best is the 10% discount at the World of Disney in DTD.

I thought of that too, but we're using old park hoppers, so plunking down all that money on an AP that I don't need just doesn't make sense. Thanks for the suggestion. Keep them coming!

The Swan and Dolphin have some good discounted rates on weekends in Jan and Feb - see the link on the wdwinfo home page.

You may be able to rent points from a DVC Member.

The Swan was the best price for a deluxe that I found. We're going the first weekend of Feb., I paid for standard view $159 a night with Dreams unlimited. They have a DIS board special of a free room upgrade and late checkout for no additional charge. Everything else deluxe was over $200 a night.
