Yay for people posting again!!
It's fun to see we're the same height and around the same weight
I was tipping 160 during grad school, which I can't even imagine anymore. But surprisingly was really only a size bigger I think. Maybe two depending on what it was. I lost 20lbs doing the south beach diet, then lost more when I was working shift work and in a bad relationship. I just didn't eat very much and worked out constantly. I think at my lowest I weighed maybe low to mid 120's. I'm at 131.0 as of this morning! I'd be ecstatic to be back in the 120s. I haven't seen them in years. Definintely over 2 years. And NEVER in a healthy state. It's crazy how different I feel with 4-5 lbs gone.
We went out to eat with a business guy from my company who was in from out of town. He invited me AND DF which I thought was interesting. I think he's trying to guage me and if I'd be interested in moving at some point. I picked this really nice restaurant I hadn't been to in years- cost $270 for the three of us!
I was very happy not to have to pay
And portions were tiny. I was so good too. I got a salad and didn't eat the candied walnuts on it or the blue cheese and used a tiny bit of dressing. For my dinner I had mahi mahi and scraped off the little panko crumbs on it and ate only a little of the veggies with it. Although I did have red wine and part of a piece of key lime pie. I was down 0.6lbs this morning! I couldn't believe it.
Going to lunch with a manager and the same guy from last night today though- and it's sushi. I always blow up like a balloon when I have sushi. Literally gain like 5 lbs of water weight so we'll see where this goes...
Keep up the good work everyone!
jodega~ Funny we're the same size
The past year I've hung out between 138 and 134. On the weekend I eat and bloat and go up to 138, over the week I lose and am down to 134 by Friday and the cycle starts all over again
Just recently I've pushed past it. As I say there are a lot of people who would kill to look like I do... but then there are a lot of people I'd kill to look like
It's all about how you feel personally. I don't care that people think I look like I'm a fine weight (although yes that's nice)- I want to lose to be happy with myself. It's all in how you see yourself.
I know how you feel MMQ about feeling weird going for a run. When DF is out of town I have all these "no one would know if I went out for a run and didn't come back" thoughts. It's weird. I hope the time away goes ok- I am sure it must be really hard. I can always tell when I have a few more pounds on me too. It's SUPER evident when I run. I think you should be fine for your half- I only did 10 before the Princess. I know a lot of people who have done 8 as their longest and did alright. Mentally it feels better to get in a few more miles though

On Sunday we ate out for both lunch and dinner as we went up to Williamsburg to go shopping at the outlets. Ate at my fav sandwich place ever and I didn't get chips for the first time. Dinner was at an old fav too, and I got a salad w/ grilled chicken. I don't know how I did it, but I was GOOD this weekend. I didn't even gain. Well, I'm up .6 lbs from my lowest last week but that's a normal swing for me.
Unless there's a magic wand involved that will shave off 10lbs of fat and add a few lbs of muscle, I'm NOT paying that.
I hope to get a couple runs in over the weekend but it'll depend on the weather of course, it is supposed to be very windy as well. Hope to do a 10 mile long run this weekend - really excited for it!
I hope that your parents appreciated it

you have some serious mojo going on and i love it!
), but wasn't thrilled with being that skinny either, so this 'happy medium' makes me happy.
And man, am I sore!! My goal is to be able to do one in under 2 hours by this time next year.
Wow your test results were very high! I hope they have a treatment plan for you to help reduce those cortisol levels and get your body back in balance again - how would they treat that?
I'm so frustrated with this weather I could literally scream. This has been the worst spring I can recall in a long time - seriously, it's almost May! Come On Mother Nature - give it a rest already!!!
I'll have to bike or elliptical this week.
