I've been asked by someone if I know anything about using SuperShuttle in Orlando. Have to admit that I don't. She has a dd in DCP. It seems that Mears doesn't have a true shuttle that will pick up at the housing complexes, but they will do a towncar...for about $60, each way!!! She doesn't want her dd to pay that much. SuperShuttle is much less...about $18 each way. I know that because of Mears being present, we don't hear much about SuperShuttle at MCO.
Does anyone have any info or knowledge? Is it easy to find at MCO?

Not filling me with warm fuzzy feelings here!

Super Shuttle looks cumbersome to book for MCO. What about Meats from the airport to her apartment, and Über or Lyft from home to MCO?

I doubt she's comfortable using uber or lyft by herself. I know Kate wouldn't be. I believe some of the kids have used it with good results. Mom asked me what I thought, I have no idea, so figured I would ask here.

The front page only gave me the option of Sanford, not MCO in the drop-down menu. They should offer both airports as choices from the start. I shouldn't have to go looking

When I follow Shelly's link, I can't easily get to MCO...it brings up only Sanford. But, if you just start fresh, and go to their home page via a google search, you can get to MCO...but you do have to scroll through all airports around the country. But, it's there!!

I wouldn't take super shuttle. I took it once in Denver and it took over 2 hours to finally get to my hotel. It used by a lot of singles so you end up making 10 stops on your way to and from the airport. Not worth the little amount you save. I would have her get a price quote from Uber before she decides. Many times your first uber ride up to $25 is free. I'm a single female who travels alone and lives alone, I use Uber all the time and have always had good experiences. I prefer it to a cab because I have the persons first name, make/model of their car and a portion of their license plate. Much easier to identify them then a random cab driver that I probably didn't get the cab number from.

Good points! I'll let mom know! I may need all this info as well if my dopey dd decides to fly home and visit at some point!

Are Uber and Lyft allowed to pick up at MCO now?
We always use SuperShuttle for airport transportation in the major cities (Boston and San Francisco, mainly, but also NYC a couple of times). Sometimes we stop a lot, sometimes we hardly stop at all. We found it a major money saver over cabs and car services. I've never used Uber, so I don't know about them, but I know for a long while they weren't/still aren't allowed to pick up at many airports.

I believe that Uber Black can pick up at MCO, but not the regular Uber...and it isn't particularly cheap!! As far as Lyft goes, I have no idea. I think SuperShuttle will be the way to go. My dd just told me she want's to fly home in a few weeks, so that's what I'm going to tell her to do. I think that's what my friend is going to do as well!
