I have made ADRs already, but I'm considering calling back to add this one. We certainly can fit it into the schedule, but I'm wondering about the character interaction here. I've heard the Mad Hatter is a hoot and not to be missed. Then I have also read he was a bit scary. We're doing an "unbirthday" celebration for DS6 so this would be the perfect spot. I know the food is standard buffet breakfast fare, but is the character interaction worth booking for? TIA

Mad Hatter has always been hilarious when we've gone. He's probably the best character we've found at any meal, with one of the stepsisters (can't remember which one) a close 2nd (just happens to be at the same restaurant, but for dinner).

Also, there are a couple of non-standard things at PF. The famous strawberry soup is at breakfast, as well as the bread pudding. They also have an omelete station that can/will cook whole eggs to order too.

We did this in Nov of 2008. Great interaction with the characters. We were seated right next to the door the characters come out of. We were the second table they came to. We were very pleased. Alice, Mary Poppins, Mad hatter and tigger were awesome.

Our waitress, well, was another story. She handed us the bill before we had even went up for seconds! We had a party of 6, so 18% tip, I think she was trying to push us out so she could get another party of 6 in there.

Try the dinner here as well. The Step Sisters are a hoot, best part of the meal! Prince Charming was, well, charming...and Cindy was the perfect princess.

My son and I absolutely LOVED this character dining experience - and we've done them all!! The Mad Hatter was fantastic, as you've heard, but in addition we saw more characters at that meal than any other and the food is great, too. You won't be sorry you added this one!

Thanks. I think I'm going to call back and book this. Sounds like lots of fun. Hopefully I can get it on the day we have Chef Mickey's booked for dinner. Otherwise, it will have to be on the morning we have dinner booked at 1900 Pk Fare also. Oh well, eating at the Grand Floridian twice in one day -- could definitely be worse.

We literally had the same situation happen to us. Our pager didn't go off to alert us our table was ready, so after about 25 minutes of waiting I went up to the podium and they said they gave our table away, as we didn't come when they paged us, we then told them it never went off. Anyway long story short, they got us another table and then the waitress was pushing us to leave almost immediately after she took our drink orders and we got one plate of food. We won't go back for a long time.
