Anyone know if there is any Superbowl celebration? I'm sure there must be something at ESPN club. I was also wondering if there will be anything @BLT lounge. Anyone hear of anything?

We have been there for many a superbowl weekend. There is always something going on at ESPN (get there really early), and every resort we have been in has always done something too. All star sports brought tv's out to the pool and had outdoor grills going one year, OKW had it on at the bar and had drink specials, I remember that Beach Club had something but I can't remember what now.

I would call your resort directly and just ask.

I remember back in the 90's when POR was still Dixie Landings, we were there over Super Bowl weekend and DL's(POR) lounge had a big screen tv and was hosting a SUPER BOWL Bash! Most of the resort lounges probably do something. What a great way to sell adult beverages! :thumbsup2

Boy, it would be great to be down there to watch the Colts play and win this years Super Bowl but alas, I need to save our points for our upcoming trip this Oct...smjj:cool1::cool1:

We were there in 2008 for the Giants win over Patriots and there wasn't really anything. ESPN obviously had stuff going on, and Caseys had tvs. Other than seeing families walking around the park with the men's head buried in their phones and mobile devices that was all. In fact, I was one of them. I recall watching the stats on my phone while sitting in Philharmagic, when the Giants won, and Yelled the Giants won, and there was hooping and hollering... it was kinda fun. Not that I am a Giants fan, but I am definately not a Patriots fan! :)

The superbowl will be in Miami this year as will be the probowl, so WDW may be more crowded than usual if folks decide to combine Disney with football.

Just how far is it from WDW to Miami? If a certain team makes it to the SB this year (hint hint...look at my signature!) I would love to book a Saturday thru Tuesday stay at WDW. Go to OKW on Saturday and eat at Todd English's BlueZoo Restaurant in the Swan & Dolphin that night, get up early Sunday and drive down to Miami for da game, celebrate the victory into the wee hours of the morning, drive back to Orlando, sleep it off Monday and head back Tuesday. Sounds like a plan to me!! Just two wins and we're in! WOOHOO!!! :lmao:
(Forgive me for my giddiness...after 42 years of frustration, bag on my head to hide the shame and not being able to GIVE tickets away in some years, this year's run has us WHO DAT fans in unfamiliar territory...but loving it!)

Thanks for all the input! I'm sure we'll be able to find some where to watch the game. I'm betting that the TWL will have some sort of whoohaa! Can't wait to go!!!:cool1:
