Is it true that the Superbowl will be in Florida again? Wasn't it just there? I want to go in Feb. this year, but am a little worried about crowds. Does anyone know this for a fact, football hasn't even started yet? If it is, does it affect the crowds? What date will it be?

This season's super bowl is set for Feb 4 2007 in Miami.

Last Super Bowl in Florida was in Tampa, its warm so in Januaury/February it's a good spot

Actually in 2005, the Super Bowl was in Jacksonville, FL

In the NFL, the Super Bowl is awarded to a site several years in advance. It makes no difference which teams are playing. And it is always at either a warm weather site or a site with a domed stadium.

Why would it make a difference in crowds? Miami is pretty far from Orlando.

I'm planning my trip to Miami for the Super Bowl. Its gonna be great seeing the Pats win their 4th title in Miami. :thumbsup2

Wait you're dreaming,,,,,,Wake up because the Steelers just won their 6th Superbowl!

Miami is about 180 miles away so people won't just go for a quick trip. I don't think it will effect the crowds any though. Usually the best time to go to the parks is during the game because there is virtually no one there.

The Super Bowl is scheduled to be in Tampa in 2009 and again in Miami in 2010. Which means I can convince DH to go to WDW those years "just in case" the Steelers are in the Super Bowl! :cool1: He figures he can take a day to drive down to the game and still have a happy wife when he gets home! (I wasn't too thrilled with his drive to Detroit in a snowstorm this year, who wants to go to Detroit in Feb?).

Actually, they were "awarded" it by the refs.

I live in miami and when people come down to visit we always plan a quick trip to disney! :) It is 180 miles away but thats only like 3-3 1/2 hours, depends whos driving. 3 hours isnt anything. We have even gone for day trips! Go in the morning and leave at night. So i think that the superbowl might affect disney but just a little, maybe the saturday before or the monday after.
