Super Wal Mart in Clermont

Opened today. It is on Highway 27. You don't have to travel to Haines City anymore.

That's great news. The Walmart in Kissimmee always looks like there was a war inside of it and it was too far to travel from WDW. Is the new Walmart north or south of 192 on 27?

They are also building a new Super Wal Mart in Kissimmee near the intersection of 535 and 192.

kept on US 192 until it quits on US 27 - North is right turn - South is left turn.

to get to US 192 - come out the front of the OL and turn right.

some people like the back roads to get to WDW - so I take US 27 and US 192 when I get off the Turnpike.

we will be at summer bay in november and silver lake in december ( rescheduled hurricane vacation ) so will use this new walmart instead of going down to the one near Medieval Times

we own at Orange Lake.....that is why i asked for that reference point...

You are going to Disney and you want to visit Wally World? I just don't get it. We used to belong to a very big motorcycle club, and traveled the country, and the members would often make it an effort to go to the local Wal Mart whenever we were in a different town or city?

I must admit, that listerine I got in Kalamazoo, Wally World is certainly better tasting than the junk they sell at my local store.


Uh oh, please excuse the sarcasm, but I would genuinely like to hear the reasons for visiting Wal Marts from others.

yes we usually stock up for the week for our timeshare units ( eat a lot of meals in ) and wally world carries the morningstar line of products which we enjoy....

they are not the only store we frequent.....but one of the first things i do when we are getting ready to travel is to frequent the walmart site to find out where they have a "super center"

in addition, we frequent florida ( orlando and environs ) about 3 or 4 times a year so have done the "parks thingie" quite a bit....

Count me in as far as visiting Wal Marts across the country. I get to travel a lot for work and the first thing most of us do is find the local Wal Mart and Target stores. I hope to see them in all fifty states. I didn't get to go to the Wal Mart in Bentonville AK where it all started when I stayed down the road.

Have they started building this one yet? When I moved away in June they hadn't even cleared the land.

I can't help but think this WalMart will end up being a zoo given the location. Although the people who live over by the other WalMart on 192 will probably be happy to see some of the traffic alleviated there.

That is wonderful news..been waiting to hear it had opened!! We stay on West Irlo Bronson Hwy-192 and the Super Walmart in Kissimmee was always so far, and like someone said so crowded. It always reminds me of shopping on Christmas Eve, among frenzied gift shoppers..This new one will be great!! Thanks for the info....

I went shopping at the new store today. It is beautiful. I think it is also the largest Wal Mart around here. Plenty of parking at this store too, not like the one in Kissimmee.

I have actually thought of taking my photo in front of each Wal mart that I have visited..

Not because I want to visit all of them, it just seems that each trip, vacation, camping or for work, there is something that I need and I KNOW that they have it at walmart. Hmm, maybe I could be in a commercial for them, could I then deduct all the trips to Walmart as a business expense?

That sounds EXACTLY like my family. "Well, if we forgot something, we'll just go get it at Wal Mart when we get there!".

I live in a spot-on-the-map place in Mississippi, and for us, Wal Mart is where it's at! I consider myself lucky to even have a Wal Mart here.

I would rather pay Walmart prices for things I might need there, and face it most of us end up needing something than conveience store or higher prices...I am a Walmart Addict and I admit it!!!

Where is there a new Super Target on 192? I know of the one that is east of the Super Walmart in Kissimmee, but that is too far away from WDW.

the new super target is close to where 535 and 192 intersect....they just opened a marshalls store there this week also.....


this would be about a 10 - 15 drive from WDW.....depending of course on where you are actually staying in Disney...
