Anyone else going to SSW this year? This will be my 3rd SSW and I am very excited to be staying at AKL for the first time. Any news on the stars attending this year. ABC hasn't updated the site with this information yet. I can't wait!! :earseek:

This is my 5th venture to SSW and I can also hardly wait!;) READ MY TAG--I do it EVERY year!:hyper: Staying at Music this trip, and will be arriving Wed. Nov. 10 and staying till the 14th.::yes:: The list should come out before the end of this month, so keep an eye out for it.;)

I am and this is my 9TH YEAR! Didn't think we would make it this year because daughters are in college and all of our schedules are crazy. BUT, we have made a pact to go each and every year and so far are sticking to it! Gonna try either PC or POFQ this year. Noticed that anyone checking in from 11-10 to 11-13 can't get a discount. We want to check in Thursday and stay until the 15th....anyone get any discounts during that time? If so, what kind of rate. I figure I can always get a AAA or Fla Resident rate...Can't wait for it this year because AMC has been so amazing with their storyline.:p :p

That is actually why I am staying at AKL. They are having "Fall Rates" on the website right now. I was able to book a deluxe water view room for $850. Staying 11/13 - 11/18. To me that wasn't a bad price considering AKL is a Deluxe Resort. So I grabbed it. ::yes::

We were able to get the AP rate at Coronado Springs 11/11-11/15. I called the day that the AP rates came out with no expectations of being able to get anything for that time period but all of my dates were available. Maybe if you keep calling back something may open up. Pixie Dust your way for great rates and a grand time! ::yes::  ::yes::

Went to my first SSW last year & loved it so much I'm going back this year. Was able to book ASSports at the email code rate of $49 even though it said the dates were blacked out. The CM said the computer showed the rate for all nights 11/11 - 11/15 so I grabbed it. Was a little nervous till I got the confirmation showing the rate :-)

One question for all you SSW vets - I looked back on this message board and see that last year the stars weren't announced till the first week in October. Were they late with this last year or is this when it usually comes out?

See you all in November!

Debbie

Where will all the Super Soap Weekend events be occurring? How busy are the parks usually during the Super Soap weekend?

SSW is held in MGM studios. Most other parks are slow during this time. Except it is also the end of the International Food Festival at Epcot. If you are not interested in SSW you might want to avoid MGM 11/13 & 11/14. It is not only crowded but there are some attractions closed.

I havent been in a few years but it is so fun!! I am thinking of doing it again this year!!

I'm going this year for the first time. My first solo trip too. I'm so excited. Got the email rate of $79 at CSR for Nov 10 - 16. Can't wait to see who is going to be there.

I am so excited. I decided to go online just to check the rates and saw PC for $55 Fall rate special. I put in my dates of 11/11 to 11/15 and IT ACCEPTED IT! I guess you can't check in on 11/10 is all. So my total came to $245.36, including tax for 4 nights....I am so pumped. As soon as I see a list of stars attending, I will post it! I can't wait for it this year because it's been a tough one for us in our family. It's just what we need after all this Hurricane stuff goes away!:p :earsboy: :p

We are going for the first time this year. DH has a conference same weekend at BWI. When I saw that, I knew it was a done deal. Glad I didn't wait for the room-only rates (NONE). Did get a conf. rate of $235/ night for a Std. View.

Really psyched!

I got the EWO rate for Music at 55.00 a night, call and try it!::yes:: :wave2: See you all there!

Poohbear......that's such a good rate....AAA is showing the same. I am so glad I decided to just try for the Fall special rate even though they said that 11/10 to 11/13 is blacked out. Must have just picked the right time to try. I think that $55 for PC is such a deal. We are very excited to try a brand new hotel. $$ is tight so the BC is out, which is where we really wanted to stay. But, PC will do just fine. :p :p :p

Has anyone seen the list of who will be attending SSW? I've been watching the MGM Studios web site and the various Disney sites but haven't seen anything yet. I would love to see a list.

Spoke to Walt Willy on Sunday. He said he wasn't really sure who was going to be there. He just bought a house in my home town. Oh lucky me. We're on a first name basis now. :love1:

You say 'spoke to Walt Willy' so casually, as though he is a good friend. Do you expect that you will see him around town a lot? You are lucky. Will you be at SSW? Maybe you could introduce us!! ::yes::

HarrietSLP...

Thanks for the update. I hadn't seen that list yet. Looks pretty good. I'm hoping for more GHers though. Maybe a little Jason, or some Carly, Luke would be fabulous. Steve & Tamara were there 2 yrs ago, but I didn't get to meet them. Can't wait!!
