If you are on an Italy trip after Feb 2022, you may want to look at your last covid dose. Italy is denying a super green pass after six months from last covid dose (including boosters) starting Feb 2022. So for those of us who got an early booster in the US and are traveling April or May this can be a huge problem! When I called ABD today they had no clue and told me my Covid vaccine card would work. They said they have not been told of any vaccine requirement changes :/ I pointed out the state department wording on this and this occurred AFTER my PIF date and she said if it is a problem couldn't tell me what ABD would do (full refund or move my trip to a later date), they would contact travelers individually and not to worry, but they cannot tell me anything right now. I am freaking out here, I have $10K in this trip since my PIF due date for Dec 5th (before the PIF change for ABD and before the new Italian rules). I had my third dose Oct 23, 2021 and my trip is April 5-13th. That is under six months right? If the rules stand and are extended (which it says through March 31, 2022) I cannot eat at any cafe or restaurant. I am a little upset ABD doesn't know about this!? or contacted travelers. I cannot be the only person this may mess up.
