Last minute trip being planned for feb. I am looking for a super cheap but super clean hotel no more than a ten minute drive from WDW. Any recommendations? (We normally stay in timeshares but there currently isn't anything available for my exchange) TIA

Thanks spiceycat---yes, the more I look into hotels, I realize I could stay onsite probably. I am considering that.

Hi Belle1962, I have a hotel that meets your needs. It is Buena Vista Suites. The nice thing about this hotel is it is 10 minutes or less to WDW, you have a queen suite with a refrigerator and microwave and everyone in the party gets a free american full buffet breakfast each day. You can follow the link below to check it out.

I've stayed there and thought it was a really nice place, but I don't really remember it being "super" cheap. It's been a while though, so maybe I'm wrong. Usually though, I don't stay any place "cheap", much less "super cheap". :p

What is available on the Breakfast buffet? Do the shuttles stop at other hotels?

Thanks,

maggiew,

If you're thinking about Buena Vista Suites, go to www.mousesavers.com
and check under WDW accomodations. I believe you may get a special rate by booking through Mary's site. I think the prices for February range from
89 to 110 per night depending on your dates. Not bad considering breakfast is included. The hotel is located less than five minutes from Downtown Disney. Never stayed there, but, know where it is. It's on the corner of 535 and I believe the crossroad is the south end of International Drive, right past
the I-4 bridge as it crosses 535. Mary also has a review of the place on Mousesavers. Have a great time!!

We have stayed at the Days Inn (not the suites) near Old Town- they call it Maingate East. It gets so-so reviews. We've found it to be modern and clean- but no frills. That is usually our go-to hotel for a cheap room. However, I looked for President's Day week-since this would be the busiest week- and they aren't even offering anything under $60 a night.

Would you be interested in trying Priceline??? I think this might be a great option to see if you can get a nicer room for less. I think you got some great replies- though I don't think I'd consider any of these to be on the "super cheap" list.

Just wanted to add the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista is known for being relatively cheap and they get pretty decent reviews for a budget hotel.

Because I am desperate to go I was considering to the amusementof my sister (who calls me Monk) what, IMHO, are the low end hotels--i.e. HoJo, Days Inn, etc. But I booked a timeshare today at a great rate--I do have to go through a 90 minute presentation. I've done several presentations so this doesn't bother me plus, since I got such a great rate, I added Saturday night ---our plane leaves at 9:00 pm so we can go back to the room to freshen up or nap before heading to the airport.

Thanks for all the input.

Hi DonnaL, I also want to let people know that Dreams Unlimited Travel has a great deal with Buena Vista Suites and the rates look very good.

The nice thing about this hotel is it is 5 - 10 minutes or less to WDW, you have a queen suite with a refrigerator and microwave and everyone in the party gets a free american full buffet breakfast each day. You can follow the link below to check it out. When figuring the cost of a hotel, it needs to be taken into account the fact you don't need to buy breakfast each day at Buena Vista Suites which lowers the total amount you will be spending on the trip.

The great thing about booking with Dreams is they help support the cost of running these boards through their advertising.
